So many things that i don't agree on but i don't know where to start. Oh well, nice effort. It's a deep draft anywho.

Damn!

Some good research Chickenman....

We dont see eye to eye on a lot of your picks, but your list is quite impressive.

I see quite a few 2nd round picks (IMO) in your list in the 80-120 range.

I guess that just shows how deep this draft is considering the number of guys you have in the top 20 that I dont see going until round 2, whereas there some guys you project to go 3rd round, that I wouldnt be surprise at them going late 1st or very early 2nd.

I'll pose some questions to you about your list when I have more time to actally take a real good read through.

Cheers

When's the next (final) mock draft? I'll take the Islanders..lol If you are going to spearhead another one, seriously I wouldnt mind the Thrashers and if 2 teams are a possibility, also the Oilers.

I noticed Jacob Josefson is 27.

To low in my opinion.

Peter Holland out of the first is crazy to me but a great list, of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Nice list, that must have taken alooong time

I am surprised to see Leblanc so high on your list.

And I am pleasantly surprised to see ellis were you have him, i just dont think a defensemen that small should be a high pick. he could be the next rafalski though i guess.

also nice to see Rundblad so high i think his potential is through the roof.

Peter Holland desirves at least a first round pick though, i think everything i have heard/seen suggests hes a pretty safe bet to be a solid 2nd line center.

again nice list
Here is your absolute, no-one-close surefire Quote of the Week and early Quote of the Season favorite, courtesy of the Canucks’ Kevin Bieksa.

Bieksa, in his first game back after spraining his MCL against the Flames last weekend, played somewhere between 12 and 14 minutes, depending upon who you believe, in the FIRST PERIOD of Sunday’s game with Chicago.

Said Bieksa, when informed of the stat:

“It [expletive] felt like it.”

I think Kane and MPS would go in the top 5 ahead of Schenn and Kulikov. But Kulikov could go in the 6th area.

Hypothetical Question: When your team is killing a 5-3 or even 5-4 penalty kill, would you trust a 5'9 D-man to handle the physical pressures in the game?

This is nothing against the Ellis or Barrie, it just they are a new mold of Defenceman entering the draft... basically an untested commodity

Nice list, thanks for the it

Like everyone else, I also think you have Rundblad a little high but I'm glad you put Ferraro out of the top 30. I always find that he is is overrated by many.

Of course not, killing a 5-3 isn't his job.

But defense-man like Ellis, I would trust to make beauty first passes out of the zone, quarterback the PP, and contribute offensively with 20 goals and 50-60 points. While at the same time doing a decent job of handling things in his own zone.

um...sorry, please remove that sig. I don't want to share this with another user. keep your other sig, since you are 1 too many.

thank you chickenman! you are awesome. the work and effort you put into every year's draft is unmatched by any other. good job.

hoping Mike Gillis will come out strong in this year's top rounds again. interesting to see 1) where we end up in the playoffs, and 2) who we select at that position.

I really like Dehaan and Holand. I think you have the former a little too high and the latter way too low. Nice list.

26 Hackett, Matthew Goalie Plymouth 6”2 170 3.04GAA .913SV%good size, definately not a 1st rounder though, I dont think any goalies go that early, as this is not a bumper crop of tenders.
27 Josefson, Jacob Center Djurgarden 6”0 187 6G/19PTSWould love the chance at him at the end of the 1st, not likely seems a lock for top 15.
28 Elliott, Stefan Defenseman Saskatoon 6”1 180 16G/55PTSOffensively gifted, poor U-18 drops him to early 2nd, although I like him at this spot.

37 McNabb, Brayden Defenseman Kootenay 6”4 200 10G/36PTSA serviceable player, like his game, but the Shea Webber comparisons have got to stop, this guy should be a late 2nd early 3rd.
38 Kreider, Chris Center Andover 6”2 201 33G/56PTSSize, skating, shot all put him in the 1st
39 Roy, Olivier Goalie Cape Breton 6”0 165 2.80GAA .906SV%

42 Roussel, Charles-Olivier Defenseman Shawinigan 6”1 196 11G/44PTSBetter than Gelinas and McNabb by quite a lot, look for him to be one of the 1st 5 choices of the 2nd round.
43 Hutchings, Alex Left Wing Barrie 5”10 173 34G/68PTS
44 Palmieri, Kyle Right Wing/Center USA U-18 5”10 191 15G/30PTS1st round talent, I know where you stand on being asked to leave your team, but when you dont know the situation, its hard to drop this guy 20 spots based on hearsay.

53 Olsen, Dylan Defenseman Camrose 6”2 206 10G/29PTSIf there is defenceman in this draft class who is comparable to Shea Webber, Olsen is it!!!Booming slapshot, mean streak, big, strong, skates pretty well. Potential 1st round sleeper.
54 Doherty, Taylor Defenseman Kingston 6”7 218 2G/20PTS
55 Klingberg, Carl Left Wing Frolunda Jr. 6”3 205 19G/35PTSBetter than at least 20 players you have ahead of him, not much between him and Carter Ashton other than Nationality and Klingbergs speed.

64 Goulet, Guillaume Right Wing Baie-Comeau 5”9 163 45G/69PTSWay too early.
65 Lander, Anton Center Timra 6”0 194 9G/16PTSseems like a solid 2nd to me!
66 Leddy, Nick Defenseman Eden Prairie 5”11 187 8G/37PTSBetter at the same point than Aaron Ness (09' 40ish overall) and Jake Gardiner (09' 17th overall), early 2nd is a bout as low as he goes.

Thats all I got for right now, I appreciate the time you spend putting these lists together, always interesting to see who you like, but mostly who you dont like. I get how you make your lists, but I would like to see you look at it more in terms of BPA, especially in terms of having similar type players being 30+ positions apart, and I didnt mention it in my higlights of your list, but Peter Holland has so much potential that at 41st that team would look like Usain Bolt running up to the podium.
