wouldn't someone that is going to be the first overall pick be the player of the year, cause i don't get why cody won that award when everyone is on JTs bandwagon?

tavares +- +10
voted hardest woker,best faceoff guy,best penalty killer all with Tavares playing in the same league. Did cody really improve that much? Also it seemed like Cody was the best player on team canada(no bias) even with tavares on the same team.

I read somewhere that Hodgson plays a more all round game. If Taveras isn't scoring, he contribute nothing to the team... so I guess Taveras is more one dimensional... However, Taveras is a really good pure goal scorer...

Cody can play in all situation, PP, PK...
where as JT can only play offense, which is good also.
In WJC, Cody WAS the best player.

Tavarez = grabner(from last year)++. basically the only think he brings to the table is scoring (and he does a better job than grabner in that dept). grabner has learnt to become better defensively this year, but will always be a sniper (and not quite as good as tavares).

Hodgson maaan. well ill take tavares any day. but yeah Hodgson is more of an all around player. after all didn't Hodgson make Tavares look good with Team Canada?
anyways i think we are in need of an all around player. although a sniper would be nice too : S. (SUNDIN WHERE ARE YOU!!)
but Hodgson can score too, and i think would play well with the Sedins And/Or Kesler Raymond.

Well since Hods won OHL player of the year over him I would have to say not much
AV should be fired and I started saying this at the start of the 2007-2008 seasons.
The Team we have this year can score but no we have to play the trap in the post season.
MG has been great but he has made one mistake keeping this lame Coach.
A one man fore check will not win in the post season. Forget your three minutes away crap it is a game plain that only takes one mistake to go wrong.
In the NHL you have to have room for mistakes anything can happen. How many goals have been scored on a bad bounce?
If a bad Bounce can take you out of the game your game plain sucks.
If we keep playing this kind of Game Congrads to the young Hawks Team for a Great year.
If we can tie up the coach before the game then play the game we played all year Wings see you in 6 days.
