ummm, he didn't make it in the SEL, and plays in the NES. Heard of that league? Kariya played there one year. Not Paul.

If they can bring here.

When asked "What are you dreams and future goals".

Mats Froshaug replied with "Playing in the SEL".

Not saying, he doesn't want to go to North America but i could bank on it that he rather play in a place he is familiar league rather spending a couple years in the AHL and it was his first year in the SEL. What do you expect? Top line minutes automatically? He'd likely play the same role he would in the SEL as he would the AHL.

The ECHL sounds like bigger possibility then the AHL.

And where did Frøshaug finish the season? In the great hockey nation of Norway! Played ok in the final 10 games of the regular season with lots of ice time, but disapeared in the playoffs, especially the finals, where I'm unsure if he even played. I think his contract is for the norwegian league next year.

Here's the team Frøshaug played with stats. He has 1g and 3a in 10 games.

Looks like he'll be going back to Luleå next season???

From what I've heard he didn't get much icetime...I really hope Froshaug considers coming to North America. Playing with the moose will give him lots of ice time and perhaps great developtment!

I think Froshaug didn't get much time with Linkoping. Basically was dressed for games but saw minimal minutes. After his loan to Lulea, he got more ice time.

He got tons of ice time in Norway, and did all right in the reg. season, but still disappeared in the playoffs. I think he needs a season in Norway to regain his confidence, before he gets shipped to Victoria.

I doubt Froshaug will end up playing in the ECHL. The AHL is a far more likely destination for him, as the SEL is in the top 5 hockey leagues.

Is there a time limit on when he has to be signed as well?

Frøshaug really struggled in the SEL last year with Linkoping, and ended up playing in Norway, and didn't play top line minutes their either. Was also diagnosed witth a mild case of epilipsy, which kept him off the ice for some time. Linkoping has also brought in 4 players for the struggling norwegian to compete with, but weinhandel and mårtensson are household names in sweden, so he's in tough. Is trying to get back to play in Norway, which is not a top 10 hockey league. It's after the ECHL probably?(exageration there maybe?)

I hope Gillis gets this guy to play for the moose, there's some Center spots open.

There is really only one way to see if Froshaug is AHL ready, let him come over and find out.

I wouldn't send him too the ECHL that would suck if anything he should play in the AHL.

but he did come to the prospectst training camp so he must want to play for the canucks

why would he come if he wanted to stay in Europe
but yeah what he did say was a little weird but i wouldn't worry about that, it was what a year or two before he got drafted by us?
