WiDeN
future line Raymond Hodgson Schroeder Grabner Hodgson Schroeder?? Grabner has more natural finish and can shake off checks better than Raymond. Unless Raymond makes a big stride next year, I see him falling fast in the depth charts.
Sanford
Gillis stated in an interview that Jordan Schroder was in their top 10 list! Omg get ready for the prospect games.... Grabner, Hodgson, Schroder, oberg, shirokov.... and more
Hodgson59
Not surprised Canucks went for Schroeder. Gillis believes in guys who put up numbers, and Schroeder certainly does.

Hodgson59
He also may be the best passer in the draft.
b3.
Is Jordan even allowed to attend prospect training camp? We will he also be like Patrick White and join the AHL when he is probably 20?

Buffalo is in 2010 I'm pretty sure that it's a 2009 2nd Round Pick and a 2010 3rd Round Pick The Sabres get Vancouver's second-round pick in 2009 and third-rounder in 2010. fogducker
I'm pretty sure that it's a 2009 2nd Round Pick and a 2010 3rd Round Pick I believe that's a false statement. All sources, including the canucks.com homepage have Vancouver listed with the 53rd pick.

wolfgang puck
Schroeder had success in University and in the WJC playing with big wingers (Stoa and Barribell in Minny,JVR and Colin Wilson on Team USA).Maybe we can use another early round pick to nab someone in that mold if there's one available.Alex Chaisson #46 on TSN ranking or another Minnesota native,Ben Hanowski, could be had with a third rounder. Your Mother
the only knock on schroeder is that he is small, but small guys can succeed in this NHL. just look at guys like gionta and cammalleri.
