I'm liking this year's pick..Considering last year (CoHo), this is HUGE! 2 steals in 2 years. We've improved nicely with drafting. Schroeder is gonna be a nice fit. 2 nice young centers...a la pens anyone? Give him a break cuz he's american but #1 american drafted this year? I'll take that. They seem to do well....

Give him 3 years then watch. I'm thinking cliff and brendan just cuz of the size...but both were huge for us. Size doesn't matter if ur good.

Any thoughts???

Ronning maybe. I wouldn't put Schroeder with Morrison. Complete different players...

Schroeder's offensive game is through the roof.

Thanks, RK.17 for the Sig!

TSN has his comparison as Steve Yzerman, if he becomes a Morrison or Ronning then he was a bust, yes a bust, he has SO MUCH offensive ability anything less than 80pts. a year will be under performing

Dude! There's only 1 Stevie Y!!! Ain't no comparisons with Stevie Y. Get off my website! Kiddin..... TSN is stupid! Whoever made that comparison needs to lose their job.

80 pts a year? Ha! Maybe like i said earlier.. maybe 3 years...

Didn't morrison & ronning get at least 80 pts in at least 1 season? Yeh thought so! And u say bust? Get off my website!

Watch videos of him scoring... it isn't your prototypical major junior goal of a deke, scrum or a slap shot from the point. He scores with a quick, accurate wrist shot. Its amazing actually... kinda reminds me of Nazzy loading up his shot in the slot and on top of the circles. Only Schroeder's seems quicker.

I would call him a poor mans Patrick Kane. Not the same skill level and ability to miss hits Kane has but still a high skill player.

From what i see he looks like he's tougher than Kane....more like a Theo Fleury...i'm excited

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Hodgson Schroeder
Kesler

we could have a very exciting team for many years.

Rey, how are these numbers against other players in the NCAA?

He was the only freshman in the NCAA to be among the top-50 in scoring

Lead the Gophers in assists and scoring i think

He's already considered an ELITE player in the entire NCAA and is only 1 year into his career

he's ranked the 4th in scoring among the NCAA and the only freshman who is in the top 50 scoring.

but he played with big forwards in his team, with Stios gone next season, it will be interesting to see how he will handle the physical department by himself~

AT 3-5 Million a season Luongo is a good goalie, anything more is robbery.

Who would you rather have for the money Malkin, Ovechkin, Crosby or Luongo? Choice is simple I am not picking the guy with the over inflated pads.

p.s.

And unless LUongo wins an award and or makes the conference finals, he was no better than Cloutier.

in fact, Cloutier went farther in the playoffs with the canucks than Luongo has.

Much more pure offensive talent than Ronning or Morrison. If the guy was 6'0/6'1 he could have easily been a top 5 pick.
