Tomorrow, we will have the 53rd and 83rd picks in the 2nd and 3rd round. The Canucks will probably take a defenceman or two, who do you think is the best fit?

With the goaltending situation right now, it appears as if we're in a tricky situation. Schneider is nearing the end of his development stage, meaning it's the year after the next where he pretty much has to play in the NHL to prove his worth, whereas Luongo's contract is coming to an end, meaning it's next year that he either signs an extension or is traded. At any rate, it means one of them is leaving, so we'll suddenly find a large, gaping hole in our prospect pool's goaltending situation. I think we might have to draft a goalie.. either this year or the next. Depending on who drops, I think we should take a goaltender with one of the picks.

Does anyone know who the first tender to be picked this draft was? if one has been picked yet? Sorry, I never got to see the draft today. Thanks in advance.

I am going to hold on to this one for when were under 500 at the quarter pole. There is no way a roster like this can make the playoffs.
Unless Luongo can stand on his head and I mean on his left ear, there is no way this club goes anywhere. I bet were under 500 after the first 20 games. This being said, with our current roster. We'll see who's on the crack Kobracom77.

Here is a bold statement, if the season were to start right now, I think a healthy team from last season could beat a healthy team from this season.

Canucks would be lucky to finish 5th last overall forget 5 in the conference.
It well take 96 points to get into the the playoffs this season.
I don't see the Canucks even getting to the post season at this point -- if every body plays above expectations -- if the defence stays healthy -- if Sundin signs here -- this team might get 90 points -- still not enough to get in.

No one yet. No goaltenders were chosen in the first round.

One goalie that could be a potential steal for the team that takes him is, Olivier Roy. And I'm not just saying this because of his last name.

Yeah he is a great goalie, seen him play once for the eagles in the playoffs, pretty damn good if you ask me. I just hope someone drops again  I'm praying to god Eric Gelinas is still on the board by then. Either way, i think we'll be going BPA so if Roy is available at that pick then he'll take him or whoever else is the BPA who's not a goalie.
