He didn't make the WHL roster for the Russian WHL subway super series. If he doesn't make that team, his chances of making the Canadian team is pretty slim. I checked out the defencemens playing for the WHL tonight, and yes, ALL of them except for 1 of them is a PPG defencemen or higher in the WHL. Just so you guys know, so when he doesn't get the invite to orientation camp, theres the reason why.

The most idiotic statement I ever heard.

He's now 4th in rookie scoring, and 1st in rookie d-men. Most notably, he's tied for 2nd in d-men league wide.

Great, thanks a lot man.
It's not hard to see why Connauton didn't make it over those guys, they were all either higher picks or is doing very well offensively this year.

The funny thing is is that he has just as many, if not more points, than all of those guys except Hamonic. The problem is is that he kind of came out of nowhere, so he's not really on Team Canada's radar yet. Oh well, it's not likely he would make the World Junior Team anyways, there's alot more talent there.

Yea I haven't seen Connauton play since the pre-season so I can't comment, but half the names there i recognize and the ones that I don't are putting up very good numbers.
Besides there is more to a defenseman than offensive numbers, though K-Con's numbers are very impressive nonetheless.
As for WJC, yea I don't think he will come close to making it and you can't blame him. There is just too much talent for team Canada, at least at the junior level.

I think most Giants fans knew Kane was gone. But no one banked on Wright sticking with T-Bay. Those are 2 character, Memorial Cup winners and the Giants were in need of one to come back. But having said that, going with how the cards fell you got to be happy with the play of the squad.
Gallagher almost bags the natural hattie tonight.
