Welcome to the Team!!!!

Perhaps another gem found by Gradin. He's been digging up a lot of these for us lately!

At least we don't have lots of posters saying the Nucks should have traded for him.

I would have sent a letter bomb to Gillis if he traded a 2nd and a 3rd for Schneider.

and...there winning! Like I said before, if he scores one goal in the playoffs at the right time 6 million means nothing! Hell, if he doesn't even score and we win the cup I will shave my head bald and change my name to "Mats."

I don't know, but I can say that his size is great! Perhaps an Ohlund V 2.0 but with more offensive upside? Dare I say call him the next OT goal scoring machine?

Considering it's a U-20 team, it is possible.

3 guys on defense from the 09 WJC team for Sweden won't be returning.

I really hope he is the next Ohlund. His stats and size seem promising.

His jump from mid-term ranking of 100 to final ranking of 48 is quit remarkable.

Looks like he was on the roster @ the Ivan Hlinka tourney with alot of high picks this year:

Quote

Sweden

Goaltenders
Alexander Jirhage, Huddinge
Robin Lehner, Frolunda

Defense
Simon Lof, Brynas
Simon Bertilsson, Brynas
Adam Almqvist, HV 71
Calle Ackered, Djurgardens
Anton Myllari, Vasteras
Oliver Ekman Larsson, Tingsryds
Peter Andersson, Frolunda
Tim Erixon, Skelleftea

Forwards
Patrik Cehlin, Djurgardens
Kristian Frisk, HV 71
Sebastian Wannstrom, Brynas
Anton Lander, Timra
Carl Klingberg, Frolunda
Ludvig Karlsson, Linkopings
Magnus Paajarvi, Timra
William Wallen, Djurgardens
Martin Olsson, HV 71
Jacob Josefson, Djurgardens
Mattias Lindstrom, Skelleftea
John Norman, Djurgardens

Played on the U18 team 2009:

Quote

The Swedish U18 national team:

Goalkeepers: Johan Gustafsson (Färjestad), Robin Lehner (Frölunda).

Defencemen: Eddie Larsson (Linköping), Simon Bertilsson (Brynäs), Niklas Edman (Färjestad), Oliver Ekman Larsson (Leksand), Fredrik Styrman (Luleĺ), Adam Larsson (Skellefteĺ), Peter Andersson (Frölunda), Tim Erixon (Skellefteĺ).

Forwards: Patrick Cehlin (Djurgĺrden), Martin Karlsson (Leksand), Gabriel Landeskog (Djurgĺrden), Anton Lander (Timrĺ), Carl Klingberg (Frölunda), Filip Gunnarsson (Färjestad), Magnus Svensson Pääjärvi (Timrĺ), Jonathan Johansson (Frölunda), Calle Järnkrok (Brynäs), Jacob Josefson (Djurgĺrden), Mattias Lindström (Skellefteĺ), Oscar Lindberg (Skellefteĺ).

Had 1 goal in 6 games at the U18s.

Looks good. Give him a couple of years to see how good exactly.

'An intriguing mix of genocide and modern dance!'

Very good to see that he made that team. Encouraging to say the least. Though John Norman is about as Swedish sounding a name as Richard Park. He and Douglas Murray must be good friends.

You just don't do it. Don't even think about it.

Does anyone know how his mobility is for a defenceman?

Hard to say, though if he still has a contract with a Swedish club the chances are diminished. Of this year's draft class it's probably going to be slim pickings at camp. Schroeder won't unless he pays his own way, something we can hope Patrick White convinces him to do. Rodin is the in the same boat as Andersson. Connauton is in the same boat as Schroeder. Price is not in Colgate yet, so there's a better chance. Cannata in college, so likely not. Anthony is just about the only lock to be there.

You just don't do it. Don't even think about it.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing Anthony there. I want to see this guy really rip it up and prove everyone wrong. I hope he's really learnt his lesson at such a young age.

Schroeder did an interview with Blake Price on the team1040 today and said he WOULD be coming to prospects camp starting next monday.

I would be surprised if Andersson and Rödin werent there, I think the Canucks would like to see them both with their own eyes and develop a workout/meal plan strategy for all their prospects.

gillis is using the Aquilini's money to further develop its players, and this is where that starts.

I hope they are there.

Kellen Tochkin will be at the Prospects Camp.

There will also be some other guys who are invited that we haven't heard of. For example. Brandon Wong was invited last year.

Who else is supposed to be there this year for non-drafted invitees?

Wong is a pretty good hockey player, small and can dangle - was a BCHL all-star a number of years ago.
