That is true in some cases. However, Michael Frolik after being drafted had "only" 73 points in 52 games, which are fairly modest numbers for the QMJHL and the 10th overall pick. Whereas Simon Gamache had 184 points (74 goals) as a 19-year-old in 72 games. Then you have Ramzi Abid with 135 points in 68 games as a 17-year-old in his draft. So it's clearly hard to gauge a player off points alone, you need to factor in how these goals are scored and how the players is getting these points. Lots of guys with talent can dominate by utilizing a single attribute (size, snipe shot, great speed etc.) but then falter when they get to the next level since their flaws are exposed. That's why Power Forwards are such risky picks and generally take awhile to develop, since you are unsure whether he is that good or is only dominating because of his physical advantage.
That said, 10 points in 8 games for an 18-year-old who is leading his team in scoring is encouraging.
...err what?

Not to mention he was a 7th round pick that was supposed to be a first round pick when he was highly regarded.
I would have sent a letter bomb to Gillis if he traded a 2nd and a 3rd for Schneider.

Yup, Saint John Sea Dogs.
The funny thing is they were both touted as possible top 3 picks in their draft years when they were first drafted into the Q. Speculation has it that the former Saint John Sea Dogs coach was horrible at developing talent, so when their draft year came by, Sauve dropped to the second round and Anthony dropped to the 7th.
Hopefully the report is correct and their potential is still there despite some stunted development.
