if given the chance to play the wing the entire season with the sedins you'll see burrows with 40 goals.

Are you not on the boards as well? Were you not curious to see what he was saying as well? Did it never cross your mind he was saying he might add a couple more significant players?

And finally,

do YOU have nothing better to do than make yourself look like an a-hole so CDC could think your a hotshot and call you the next Wetcoaster in your little fantasy world where everyone is wrong and you are right?

F off.

wow calm down it's just a message board and a poorly run one at that.

Not sure what "significant additions" would mean, but if Sedins walk, I'd put #1 priority on getting Hossa to a front loaded contract @ +/- 5.5mill per!!

Last year Gillis went after the biggest fish in the pond (didnt turn out that way, but at the time seemed like a great addition).

I agree he did go for the biggest fish, however, this year the SEDINS are the biggest fish when you look at numbers:

List of unrestricted free agents, ranked by points:

FORWARDS

Mike Cammalleri, Calgary, 82 points

Daniel Sedin, Vancouver, 82

Henrik Sedin, Vancouver, 82

Martin Havlat, Chicago, 77

Marian Hossa, Detroit, 71

Alex Kovalev, Montreal, 65

Mark Recchi, Boston, 61

Brian Gionta, New Jersey, 60

Nik Antropov, New York, 59

Saku Koivu, Montreal, 50

Keith Tkachuk, St. Louis, 49

Bill Guerin, Pittsburgh, 48

Todd Bertuzzi, Calgary, 41

Alex Tanguay, Montreal, 41

Robert Lang, Montreal, 39

Micheal Samuelsson, Detroit, 40

DEFENCEMAN

Scott Neidermayer, Anaheim, 59

Rob Blake, San Jose, 45

Jarolsav Spacek, Buffalo, 45

Jay Bouwmeester, Florida, 42

Adrian Aucoin, Calgary, 34

Mathieu Schneider, Montreal, 32

Mattias Ohlund, Vancouver, 25

Jordan Leopold, Florida, 24

Steve Montador, Boston, 21

Derek Morris, New York, 20

Rob Scurderi, Pittsburgh, 16

Mike Komisarek, Montreal 11

Shane Hnidy, Boston, 11

Sure Gaborik has the POTENTIAL to top 82 points, but this means he will have to play 77+ games to do it!!! His Stats are NO BETTER then the Sedins.

Anoying when he says, "we have budgeted for significant additions" and people jump all over it like he said, "we will make significant changes".

Seriously op is just twisting Gillis words to get some attention.

That's what he is saying retard. Get off your high horse and pay attention, and learn to spell and use grammar too please, it's just painful.

LoL

Easy there raging emo, just saying that it's anoying when ppl try and twist statements into meaning something they don't.

Happens too much on these boards and if I don't like it, I'm gona let em know.

Yes I can be an a-hole when I read anoying topics like this ;)

Oh resorting to personal attacks huh?

Whats more painful than being called out by the grammar police is that you haven't made it through puberty yet.

Wednesday will be more exciting if the Sedins dont sign...If they do, dont expect much.

But here's to hoping that we get any sniper other than Marian Glassorik! Hossa would be a good winger for the Sedins to play with...

To be fair, Gillis is a good spin doctor, he could re-stock the Moose, add a 6th-7th d-man, and add a 2nd/3rd liner tweener and call it "significant". Not trashing Gillis at all, just saying I wouldn't read into a press clip and get my hopes up too much.

The only annoying post talking about signifigant changes is yours. Why don't you go back to bed in your mom's basement.

No one is twisting Gillis's words. Only reading them at face value. If he has budgeted for "signifigant additions" he has PLANNED for them. If he has PLANNED for them, he is going to try to land some. If last year is any indication, it will be another interesting FA.

I hope he does more than last year. It wouldnt take much, all he has to do is sign somebody....like 1 person, and I hope its someone whos not turning 40 from Sweden.

For staunch Sedin supporters, IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT STATS, it's also about the ability to break a game wide open, or score two quick goals with an amazing shot.

IF THE SEDINS COULD SNIPE, THEY'D BE WORTH 8 MILLION EACH, but they STILL, after 8 years, haven't developed a quick release comparable to Gaborik, Iginla, etc.

Well Gillis is someone who will go big. Plus there are more big free agents this season than last season, when Sundin was really the only "big" viable option. Now there's tons.

Should be exciting regarldess of whether the Sedins sign or not. We've got $22 mill cap space with 13 players signed as it stands right now, so there's a lot of work to do.

Yeah that's pretty much any GM though.
