I think at this point S.O.B. isnt getting an offer... I'd imagine that after being benched a few times and taking a near league leading amount of undisciplined penalty minutes, A.V. and Gillis figure its time to cut him loose.

I really wished I was wrong and SOB was a great trade. :(

Im sure the Bolts are laughing though.

Didn't Gillis qualify O'Brien. I'd like to sign him back. He's a very underrated defensemen. We need him anyways. We have alot of games against Calgary, Anaheim, San Jose, and Chicago. Plus Ohlund is gone.

He can work on getting faster and he can work on getting more disciplined.

He should take the offer. We gave him a real chance when nobody else would touch him.

Plus, I really see this guy's career taking off here. AV has encouraged the best out of him, whilst being patient and not taking any BS. Now, where else to you get that in the NHL? But, it's up to Welly. If he chooses to fly the coop, I reckon he will be permanently in the beer league inside of a couple of years.

look at what Bernier get? I would say he should get at least 1.5 mil

good face off and puck handling skill, pretty responsible in defensive end.

6 pts in 10 playoff games

He is what we need, SKILL at low price!!!

I want him playing at our 3rd line and PP

I ll be back !!!

Hes no top 4 D. Never will be. He's a hard hitting D who can FIGHT but takes DUMB penalties often. He will end up a 5th D or light minuite 4th D.

My point always was that Krajicek was slow developing , and he WOULD be a top 4 one day. Perhaps at 28 or 30.

Why only one year? Hasnt he shown enough that he is a keeper?

I want to see Wellwood back. He can play 3rd or 2nd line centre (although I'd prefer if he didn't play 2nd line C) or even on the wing as he did with Sundin. He's good on faceoffs and the PP and he seemed to be pretty clutch in the playoffs.

The bigger news for many Canucks fans, though, is that his wife Gina and four-and-a-half month old baby daughter Gabriella will be accompanying him this year.

wellwood at $1mil is a good deal i think. I think he would sign it too given that no one gave him a chance last year cept the canucks. and he played half decent for us, given that pyatt made more than him, and i thought he was a better overall player than pyatt

not really.. we didn't give him the chance.. it was just luck.. AV was shipping him out of town until someone got injured.. so did we GIVE him a chance really? no..

CoHo is a bust by no means, but Welly is definitely a better NHLer at this point. And Kyle did really well as the 3rd line center once he patched up his defensive game...he didn't do as good as Kesler, but he filled in admirably considering Kesler is one of the best shutdown players in the league.

just excellent at reading sarcasm

We should definitely keep Wellwood. We won't get much for his rights in a trade but this guy has the potential to be a great 2nd or 3rd line centre for us for years after Sundin retires.
