We need someone with the ability to quaterback a PP and more importantly relieve pressure on his own by carrying the puck out of our end to lead to a good offensive rush going the other way.
Beauchemin=Willie Mitchell
Kaberle=something we are lacking.
C'mon people. I'd give up Schneider + Grabner for Kaberle in a heartbeat but if the Leafs land that Sweedish goaltender they wont have a need for Cory but knowing Burke and how he loves toughness he would probably settle for Bieksa + Raymond + pick. He doesnt want Kaberle there so he will ship him out if he gets anything decent in return. Then sign Scuderi or Leopold and we would be good.
Quite frankly this would be tremendous if Gillis could do it especially considering Kaberle is locked up through 10-11 at only 4.25 per.

Unlike other "fans" on here, I think that we did exactly the right thing.
I would have gladly signed Scott Neidermayer, but I'm not going to dwell on not gettin him.
We are FINALLY building through the draft.
I am glad to see those, who are most likely walking away this summer, walk away. All, save Ohlund.
I am concerned that we are weak on defence, but I trust Gillis to fix that is a creative way.

Schneider Raymond 2nd 3rd
or Schneider Hansen 3rd
I would not trade Grabner.

OK genius...Who?!?
Kaberle averages 43 points a game in his career and has had years of 67, 56, and 53 and the most penalty minutes he's ever had in a year is 46 meaing he is playing well without taking penalties. He is a tremendous puck mover, a PP QB, by far the best available puck moving defenseman and is locked up til 10-11 at a bargain of 4.25.
Yeah...Im sure we can do a lot better.
