This has always cracked me up.

Step #1

Set up a website claiming to have permanent and extensive hockey information.

Step #2

Follow all 30 teams fan bloggs to see what their fans want as upgrades to the team

Step #3

Make rumours claiming to provide exactly what the fans wish for

Step #4

Make rumours that change every day and eventually involve all 30 teams so sooner or later one of em will be right.

Step #5

Hire idiots to get memeberships to each of the 30 NHL teams bloggs (and others ) and if the real members try to blow your site off, have the plants link to it anyways.

Step #6

Continue to mass produce 'pulp fiction' and stick it up on the NHL team sites regardless of whether they are bored or not, curious or not, or just want to read it to see how foolish your info is this time.

:)

Exactly.

Eklund idiots.

Its clearly tampering I agree. The fact that Burke also flew there adds fuel to the fire. I think they will get a slap on the wrist this time though since Burke is pretty buddy buddy with the NHL front office. Burke will certainly be called to the carpet to explain the commentsw by his coach and his flight to Sweden.

We can hope for a 3rd rounder or something though, arguing that it likely upped the price we had to pay for the Sedins.

Maybe I am wrong and the NHL will make an example out of him, but they do seem to cater to the whims of the Toronto franchise so I don't see it happening

I think the league will be more harsh on Burke than that. He was after 2 top notch free agents who were about to become free agents the next day. I think we underestimate the sedins value, , and thus tampering charges for 2 six million dollarplayers will cost them a 1st if no agreement is reached. If it was Toews and kane people would be saying 5 first round picks,,,the sedins are not as good as them 2 but they surely are worth more than a mid round pick. Burkes own words about tampering will come back to haunt him. Pretty hard for him to argue against himself. If we can get Kaberle for a very reasonable trade it will all be forgotten. Gillis saying he will not pursue tampering charges if they get a deal definately has some value.

Kaberle To Vancouver Hinges On Beauchemin/Samuelsson Contract Details

by insidehockey on Jul.03, 2009, under NHL News, Rumors

I am told if and once the Leafs sign Beauchemin, they will unload Kaberle to the Canucks, there are rumors that would send Kaberle and a prospect to Vancouver for Cory Schnieder and a #2 rounder. I am told the Leafs want Raymond in the deal aswell.

Note: The Leafs must be asking for a more skilled forward than Raymond, if Kaberle can fetch a Kessel, it doesn’t make sense to me, but maybe goalie prospect Schnieder changes things up, we will have to wait and see.

If we were to send Schneider I would have rather seen it go to Chicago to try to get Barker. Chicago needs a goalie and they are going to be in some cap problems next year and some of those young guys have to be available.
