6-5 D-man, great physical force, booming slapshot, powerplay specialist. 1.5 - 2.5m, would add great size to our smallish D.

I'd rather sign Semenov (6'6 245) for 650,000.

I'd do it. He's solid and affordable. The size is a great asset. And he's far more skilled than Semenov.

Maybe, but I'd probably rank him after:

Beauchemin
Seidenberg
Schneider
Bergeron?

I'd rank him ahead of both Schneider and Bergeron.

Arguably Seidenberg.

I think this would be a solid pick-up if it was for under 3 million.

I wouldn't. Hasn't he been off the ice the last year and a half thanks to that broken leg?

EDIT: NVM, he played a few games for the Aeros starting in February, then played 10 with the Wild. He'd be a good pick up if Beauchemin isn't still around.

He played some with the Wild too, near the end

Absolutely. Sign him for a couple years @ 2.2m a season.

Put up 7 points in 10 games last year. if he can stay healthy he'd look great in our d corps.

The only guy on that list I'd take before Foster is Beauchemin, and when you consider the fact that we need to be smart with our cap dollars and that Foster would cost about half of what Beauchemin is asking, it's a no brainer. Foster would solidify our defence without ruining our cap situation. I really hope Gillis goes after him.

I think Foster would be a good addition...but we also need to sign a D-Man that can skate.

Looked into Foster, a steal for 1.5.

Great 5th defense men.

if given the chance to play the wing the entire season with the sedins you'll see burrows with 40 goals.
