I personally think if he signs for 1 year/under 2.5 million, his 60ish games a year would be worth it.

A lot better than paying Beauchemin 4.5 million or signing M-A Bergeron AT ALL.

Edler point prediction: 12 goals, 33 assists and 45 points / Edler point counter: 0 goals, 7 assists and 7 points.

Round out the top 6 with Foster and Semenov. Towers!

if given the chance to play the wing the entire season with the sedins you'll see burrows with 40 goals.

The guy broke his leg in a freak accident. This is the same logic that says don't re-sign Luongo because he'll injure his groin again. Or that Erik Johnson is just injury prone because he can't drive a golf cart. I guess there's no point in the Penguins paying Crosby, he's just gonna sprain his ankle again. <_<

I am a huge supporter of signing Foster. But he's always been injury prone, even before the broken leg.

In a comparison of injuries. Not sure how that's funny or awesome?

Also, the Sedins DID get NTCs. Nice signature though.

Ehhh, I dunno. I was looking at Sportsnet and they say he's not a very good skater... we need to get more mobile on the back end, not slower.

Watching him play in the past, he doesn't look like a slow skater. And in that clip that I posted where he breaks his leg, he looks pretty fast (and he's racing freakin'g Torrey Mitchell).

It didn't specifically say speed was an issue, it said co-ordination. I'd rather have a slow guy that had good foot-eye (is that right?) co-ordination than a fast guy who trips over their own feet.

Fair enough. He seems to be somewhat sturdy though.

Maybe Sportsnet is right.

I think for under 2.5 million, he's definitely worth it.

We can agree to disagree though, I guess.

What does this have to do with Kurtis Foster exactly?

As a Wild fan, what's your opinion of his play?

I like him. He's got a sick slapshot, but he misses the net about half the time. Good size, pretty fast, he can score (but of course he is a defenseman) If my memory is working, he scored a goal in the few games he did play this past season. Yeah, he's injury prone but from what I've seen, he's come back from the broken leg very well.

If we weren't so caught up in this Saku crap, I'd wanna offer him another contract

I've seen scouting reports that say Foster isn't very co-ordinated in terms of his skating. Any truth to that?

Yeah, there's truth to that, he's not the best but not the worst either. His slapshot is definately his biggest strength, other than that he's average.

Foster would be a great addition. If we add Foster at 1.75 we can even reasonably bring Sundin back again at 3.5 if he is willing too.

Now we have a solid lineup.
