Dang - Foster was the guy I was hoping to get from day 1.

On the other hand, Tampa's D has gone from rags to riches within a couple of weeks...
Teams that had a more successful year than the Canucks:
Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Carolina Hurricanes...
...That's it.

And Kurtis Foster is the puck mover we need?

No.

But he would've been a good replacement (upgrade) for O'Brien before O'Brien had signed. Notice how I shut up on this topic after O'Brien signed?

He would've been a great filler for the 5th-6th spot, he's a PP specialist who can hold his own in his own end .. unlike Seidenberg and Bergeron.

Edler point prediction: 12 goals, 33 assists and 45 points / Edler point counter: 0 goals, 7 assists and 7 points.

I'm really pushing for Zubov to sign at about 3-3.5. That would rock.

Janne Niskala would be cool, but I believe he signed a TWO year contract in Finland. So I'm not sure if he would opt out of that.

Trading for Kaberle would be the best, but now that they have 'Monster', but not sure we have the assets.

Schneider proved in Montreal that he can still put up the points, but his last two seasons have been -. Mind you.. he was playing in Atlanta and as the go-to guy.

Prying Lee out of Ottawa might also be a possibility.

Edler point prediction: 12 goals, 33 assists and 45 points / Edler point counter: 0 goals, 7 assists and 7 points.

Yeah in a bad team in Atlanta he posted

4 goals, 11 assists, 15 points in 44 games.

In a relatively decent team in Montreal he posted

5 goals, 12 assists, 17 points in 23 games!

Not bad eh?

Not too shabby. But he managed to be -2 on a decent Montreal team. Maybe playing beside Mitchell and being the 4th defenseman would help him out a bit. As he's proven in the past that he can be good at both ends.

Edler point prediction: 12 goals, 33 assists and 45 points / Edler point counter: 0 goals, 7 assists and 7 points.

All 5 were powerplay goals. So in 23 games he got as many PP goals as Bieksa and Edler did for us in the whole season.
