You would too if your teammates were out doing lines off hookers buts after each game

Kovalev has world class skill but is lazier than a junk yard dog. Another high maintenance selfish player who only shows up ever other night. NO THANKS.

He was asked to stay home on one Habs road trip this winter to "re-gain his focus," or in other words, to stop being such a pu**y.

Demitra and Kovalev are both right wingers

Demitra is a pretty good centre too.

Thats the way it is now. IF you're rich you go to the game. If you are middle class you watch in hd, if you are lower class you watch in sd. If you are broke azz you listen to the radio.

So true but I wouldn't mind if he signed here for a year. I wouldn't give him anything past 2 years.

couple years ago my wife worked at the airport and when they came home once got me a shirt with like 20 autographs on it and said they were all really nice. AV even talked to her for a bit. Course the shirt is ruined cause it has Jan Bulis' auto on it. If you wanna hang out at the airport, could have better luck

We have no cap space for him. Too many roster spots to fill, not enough cap space to fill them if we're signing names like this.

Which spots? :s

Top six forwards: Sedin, Sedin, Samuelsson, Burrows, Kesler, Demitra
Bottom six forwards: Raymond, Bernier, Rypien, Johnson, Hordichuk, Hansen

Top four defensemen: Edler, Bieksa, Mitchell, Salo
Bottom pairing: None.

Goaltenders: Luongo

We're missing two bottom pairing defenseman, a goaltender, and a legitimate third line center, but our forwards could be pretty much done:

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Demitra-Kesler-Samuelsson
Raymond-Johnson-Bernier
Hordichuk-Rypien-Hansen

Edler-Bieksa
Mitchell-Salo
xxxx-xxxx

Luongo
xxxx

But with the Samuelsson signing, Kovalev probably isn't coming unless Demitra and Bieksa are shipped out. :x

Wellwood still needs to be signed. As does O'Brien. We need a few extra guys as well. Johnson isn't a 3rd line player. He's a great 4th line guy, but the extra ice time on the 3rd line as well as PK duties pushes his ice time into areas that seemed to be too much for him last season.

Also, we don't want to be right up against the cap, we need some room for injuries, or trade deadline additions. And of course with the cap coming down in 2010-11, the more flexibility we have, the better.

What about in New York?

Quote

Smith added: "And he's frustrating during the regular season. But, having said all that, I don't know where we are with him, other than still saying all that stuff. He's not going to make himself a wealthy man playing the way he's playing. When you don't put up big numbers during the regular season and you don't overachieve during the playoffs, you better be ready to be a middle-of-the-pack player."

Source: Kovalev Expendable?

His whole career has been an underachievement due to effort. Everybody knows he has the skillset.

I don't see Gillis chasing this guy.
