We're looking a little thin on the defensive side. So you do you propose to move to get him?
$7.5 million is pretty much the rest of our cap space. So unless we move Bieksa in exchange for Heatley and say Brian Lee or Campoli, we get screwed.

We haven't re-signed Bernier.
We haven't re-signed Wellwood.
We haven't re-signed Hansen.
We need to extend Luongo's contract.
We need to get a top 6 forward.
We need to get a top 2 pairing defensemen.
Lets forget how stupid this thread is and your proposal and lets focus on how in the bloody hell we would fit this into the salary cap in the 1st place.

TBH this would be a good idea, Sedin Sedin Heatley is the next best thing we could hope for right now.
Hansen, Demitra, Cory Schnieder, and offer to pay out half of the bonus Heatley recieved.
