Yes but if we trade DEMITRA its 4 mil off and if your trading bieksa it's 3.5 off Hanson or Hordie would be .775 ish next year sammy's contract is up at 3.5 so re signing Kesler and lou really shouldn't be that hard.

Total = 26.7M for 7 players

Luongo - 6.5M (estimated...although I heard up to 8M in the rumors)
Kesler - 3.5M (estimated home town discount...ala Krejci)

Total = 36.7M for 9 players.

Add in Heatley at 7.5M

Total = 44.2M for 10 players.

Leaving approximately 6M for 10-13 players to round out the roster in 2010.
So probably not likely VAN will be going for Heatley.

~ Heatly does not belong in the league. When a player DEMANDS a trade, then refuses to waive the no-trade clause, needs to be removed from the situation. Let him be a big fish in the minors.
~ The team we have has integrity, and I doubt Heatly even knows what the word means.
~ We have to re-sign Kesler, Demitra, Mitchell, Raymond, Johnson, Wellwood & O'Brien next year, Why create another cap crunch with a tempermental diva like Heatly?
~ With that much cap space (7-9 mill) there are many more plausible, team-oriented players still sitting as UFA's.
~ If Lou doesn't sign with a minor (+.25/.5) increase, Fernandez, Gerber & Biron are still looking for a team. Don't get me wrong, I adore Robbie-Lou, but...
