An outstanding young talent with a huge upside, and the blackhawks are in cap trouble.

Marian Gaborik left the ice early in tonights game with an apparent "i don't like getting yelled at" injury located where his balls should be.

But since Versteeg hurt Burrows' feelings with his supposed steal of the bow-and-arrow routine/disrespect to the memory of Bourdon, could this fly?

And if offer sheets went to Versteeg and Barker and one or both was actually willing to leave Chicago and come to Vancouver and the Hawks chose not to meet the offer, what would the price be in draft picks?

like I said this summer, the Coyotes will be a mess this season, this franchise needs to move.

who cares about the bow and arrow thing, it's passed and i dont' think he meant anything by it.

as far as kessel goes, i don't think canucks couldn't afford him right now.

The new Peca ( minus the EPIC hits ) or simply a better version of Burrows.

This guy will be great.

Its worth a shot at. I agree with the OP.

And if we can't get Versteeg, we could atleast push Chicago up to the cap maximum

worth a shot but i think gettin cam barker would be more benefical to the canucks since they are in need of a puck moving d-man. would really piss of chicago if we tried to sign them both lol. but really who cares what chicago thinks.

go after Kessel , atleast he plays centre i believe. That way we dont have to bring back Sundin for one more year and then we offer sheet Barker aswell , we could probably make it work.

thanks to RK.17 for the SIG

we need to have the draft picks before we can make an offersheet
we do not have our 2nd
so 1st, 3rd spent on one player
nothing left for the other

Salo should be making $1.5M, not $3.75M, especially when he is hurt. I like that Mitchell for Johnson proposal. Injecting youth into our defensive corps would be good for us. Johnson and Mitchell are similar players, Erik has more offensive upside though.

J Bo's a bum, Bieksa would mop the ice with him in most aspects of the game.

Agreed. Versteeg also went into a nasty slump down the stretch and into the playoffs. I'd rather take Barker anyways.

I don't care how good Kopitar gets, I will never believe that drafting Luc Bourdon was a mistake. Never.

good grief, either a lot of you have failed grade 4 math or you aren't using your heads before posting - we cannot afford what Kessel is worth to get him from the bruins. THERE IS A SALARY CAP.

~ I love this logic, anything to piss off chicago, count me in, lol, plus we do need him
When your Western team plays your Eastern team, is it win/win or lose/lose????

I seriously think someone needs to throw an offer sheet to one of the Chicago ;players because it is win win. Either you make the whole potential grievance process go way faster and they become UFA'S or you have a real decent shot of getting the player.
Luongo SUCKS!
