Shnieder unless he get's traded

great way to develop young talent, playing him 5 games a season, that sure would boost his confidence

Andrew Raycroft is a UFA. Toss 7-800k his way to play 10 games this season, decent deal for both sides.

This is a possibility. At least it's better than Sanford. That being said, I think we can find better than Raycroft for the money.

As soon as Luongo gets extended, I'm willing to bet that Schneider will be traded as he's redundant with us. Gillis will probably extend Luongo, trade Schneider, and sign some no-name backup.

Yep! This will happen.

Whats the point of trading Schnieder now? Ok you have no Labarbra, No Sanford, Julien Ellis hasn't been tender and offer. So we have no back up and no depth in that position but you want to trade one of your prospect that has very little trade value because he hasn't proven himself in the big leagues yet. Let him learn from one of the best, and see if we can increase his trade value.

I would lock up a veteran back up yet.
If Luongo is going to play 65 games for us next year. somebody else only gets 15+
Schnieder might as well play 65 in the AHL - ONE more year.

15 games as back up here may not be the best for his development (although he has already owned the AHL)

Get Sanford (maybe), Raycroft, Gerber, Belfour, Biron, Legace, - who ever to start the year.

Much depends on IF Luongo signs long term and IF we want to trade Schneider to upgrade somewhere else.

But yes ultimately Schneider can come in and be back up soon, maybe just not to start the year and get rusty.....

I doubt Sanford will be back. These goalies want to play.

What goalies want to play? I hope you mean ALL goalies, because they do. Someone still has to be the backup.

He's got nothing left to prove in the AHL, I reckon if he hasn't been traded by then (which he may well be) he'll be back up - We need to see how he does in the NHL environment, over a longer period of time than last year.

I'd rather have Raycroft than Sanford. Sanford always made me nervous, he let to many in high.

Keep schneider as back up until hes ready to shine, then dish out Luongo to another team for a big name or a few big names, why throw away a young talented goalie that can take over for when Luongo is doe here. And sanford is way to small to be a goalie, the age of small goalies is almost at an end

we live to DIE! So choose wisely, before the choice is made for you!!

no, he's more of a liability than an asset. His size is a problem. I've seen many goals he conceded that would have been stopped by a bigger goalie, not because of skill, but because he was big enough to block more of the net. I'd rather have schneider, he could do alright as a backup for now.

NO ONE FLAME KESLER... HE'S JUST VERY COMPETITIVE
advice for newcomers on CDC... seriously... this is a survival pack.
1. Flame suits - make sure your clothing is non flammable at all. Or keep, a fire extinguisher handy.
2. Empty hands - you will want to facepalm often here, therefore you don't want to be holding something in your hand at the time of facepalm desire, such as a pie.
3. Non-bandwagoner locating x-ray goggles - not all CDC'ers are wasted in the head.
4. Throw out all legos - like, seriously. Right now. This is for your own good.
5. Punching bag - you'll see why when you see threads such as "do we really need Burrows?"
6. Ability to use the search button - this will drastically reduce the need for advice number 1.
Well, enjoy, and hopefully this helps.

Let Cory play for 15 games this year to show his talent, boost up his market value, and trade him to the Sens for Heatley next year.
Matthew 28:18-20

18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Labarbera seemed like a better locker room/bench presence than Sanford so I hope they keep him there. He seems like a great team mate.
