Sign Sergei Zubov 3mil x 1 year. He won the cup twice(including the 94 cup), he knows what it takes and will bring that experience to the team.
He'll put up even more great numbers with the canucks instead of a bad dallas team.
Grabner stays in the AHL for 1 more year until Demitra leaves.
Rome will prove himself get the 6th spot and SOB wont become a liabilty anymore. (Near the top in league-PIM, terrible offensively, cant score unless scoring in own goal counts, just a total liability everytime hes on the ice which costed us some games last season)
Sedin(6.1) sedin(6.1) burrows(2)
Kesler(1.75) Kessel(3.9) Demitra(4)
Raymond(.883) Hodgson(1.75) Bernier(2)
hordichuck(.775) johnson(1.1) rypien(.55)
Forwards-30.908
Salo(3.5) mitchel(3.5)
Zubov(3) edler(3.25)
Bieska(3.75) Rome(.5)
Defence-17.5
Luongo(6.75)
Backup(.75)
Goalies (7.5)
Cap-55.908
man should i be a GM or what??

Well i like getting Kessel for a 1st and a 3rd worth it IMO. But counting on Rome to be a 6th d-man is pretty wishful thinking. this guy has 26 career games. stats I think SOB is a better player then you are giving him credit for. sign him @ 1.25x3. that however would put us pretty close to the cap so unless Zubov signs for less im not sure if this would work out. Zubov is the type of guy we need though, puck mover and two rings
Bieksa, in his first game back after spraining his MCL against the Flames last weekend, played somewhere between 12 and 14 minutes, depending upon who you believe, in the FIRST PERIOD of Sunday’s game with Chicago.
Said Bieksa, when informed of the stat:
“It [expletive] felt like it.”

Zubov is possible if he wants to sign for cheap. That's a big if though, and probably not very likely. Kessel just isn't going to happen. We shouldn't be giving away our draft picks, and this would destroy our cap position. Think long term. Getting the biggest names out there doesn't mean anything but big contracts. Depth signings and players that fit our system are key. Kessel would be a great addition, but I don't think we can get him without doing more harm than good to our roster.

Boston would be asking for Hodgson and most likely that would be a pretty fair deal. I doubt anyone here wants Kesslel bad enough to give up what he is worth.

= death of the canucks (In my opinion never trade away draft picks unless its trading up/down for a player, NEVER.) you build teams from the system and not just bringing in players (look at pittsburgh...
My Vancouver Canucks Roster 2009/1010
D. Sedin - H. Sedin - Burrows
Hordichuk - Johnson - Rypien
Grabner
Mitchel - Salo
Bieksa - O'brien

they want kaberle from toronto im wondering if we could package up sami salo i think he would waive his NTC boston is a nice city and has a good cup shot. and maybe ryamond/grabner and bernier or something along that lines.
we would still need a cheap you dman from somewhere enter your 1 and 3 for a RFA and go after barker i also think alzner from washington would be great but i dont think we have anything they would be intrested in.
