Samuelsson has been the best Canuck so far this season IMO.

Except for H. Sedin, that is.

Kesler was lucky to score 20 this year since the injury to Morrison allowed him to do so.

I doubt Kesler would ever break 15 goals in his career again.

Gillis has done well.

Samuelsson: 5 points in 5 games. Tied second in team scoring. 2nd on the team in shots on goal. Downside is his -2 which is tied 17th on the team.

Ehrhoff: 5 points in 5 games, +3 with 3 of his points coming on the powerplay. Tied second in team scoring, 1st in +/-, tied 3rd in PP points. Also 7th on the team in hits (5), tied 2nd in takeways. Only downside in terms of stats are 2 blocked shots (11) and 3 giveaways (tied 3rd). Leads all defensman on the team in shots (13). Only 1 minor penalty so far.

Plus he added Rome and Glass who both made the opening night roster with some great play in the preseason, got Shirokov under contract who is currently tearing it up in the AHL and will find his way back to the NHL soon, and Raycroft who looked good in limited action and had a solid preseason. Now we need to see what Schneider can bring to the table.
Double the trouble.

That's only because you're a Detroit homer. Henrik has outplayed him, as well as Kesler. As far as impressive or exceeding expectation, that award probably goes to Raymond or Mitchell (offensively, atleast). But yeah, he is playing great.
Henrik, without Daniel, stat track: 9gp 3g 7a 1 6PIM

Yeah I'm not a big fan of Samuelsson for some reason.
He takes a ridiculous amount of shots and misses the net a majority of the time.
I don't know. I'm just not a big fan.

I think having Samuelsson is fine.

As for him taking many shots? Well, it's better than not taking any shots. Even if he does miss, albeit, it'd be nice if Samuelsson can pass every once in a while. LOL.

I've been impressed with Henrik's play lately. 8 points in 5 games thus far. He's been playing well. And it seems like he understands the fine balance of finding players to pass to, and shooting the puck himself. Before, I noticed that Henrik, given the chance to shoot, would force a pass, and a play would end up being broken. His two on one with Samuelsson (I think?) against Montreal - that goal - was impressive. I'd like for him to do that more often.

Kesler's play has been excellent as well. I hope Gillis can sign Kesler to a long term contract. We cannot afford to lose him, considering the amount of time, energy that this organization has poured into him, in terms of player development.

#19 up to the rafters of GM Place!!

Agreed. Though it is very frustrating when Samuelsson ends a play by taking a meaningless shot that has no chance of going in, he does make some nice plays from time to time.

Kesler was a huge reason for last year's success. He is sometimes discredited by Canuck fans. I too hope he is a Canucks for life.

When he does make passes, they are usually very nice ones. Like the ones he set up for Mitchell and Burrows. Especially that Mitchell one, I saw that and I couldn't believe he even tried to make that pass with two sticks in the lane.
Play Jannik Hansen AV!

I quite like Sammy

he takes a lot of shots, some stupid but I find him to be a very efficient top-6 player, he should accumulate a lot of points, especially on the powerplay
