According to Eliteprospects, and the NHL.com site, Krog has been signed by Atlanta. It isn't on the thrashers site yet, no idea what the contract is. I'm disappointed he didn't get any chance to play here.

Mattias Weinhandl: 2nd in SEL scoring 07/08, 2nd in playoff scoring 07/08. 3rd in WC scoring in 08 & 09 only behind established NHL stars, 16 pts in 12 games in 08/09 KHL playoffs (leader had 19 pts in 21 games). Invited to 2010 Swedish Olympic team camp. He deserves another shot in the NHL................Currently LEADS the KHL in scoring, 28 points in 21 games

Eliteprospects is legit, they are the Darren Dreger of Europe...just incase anyone was wondering if it was credible or not

Krog was good in the AHL. I don't think his career will ever reach the NHL. Good luck in Atlantic Krog.

i hope he can be a regular

Salo should be making $1.5M, not $3.75M, especially when he is hurt. I like that Mitchell for Johnson proposal. Injecting youth into our defensive corps would be good for us. Johnson and Mitchell are similar players, Erik has more offensive upside though.

J Bo's a bum, Bieksa would mop the ice with him in most aspects of the game.

A classic example of a guy who can excel in the AHL but it just doesn't translate to the NHL. I hope he does well...always had a soft spot for him since watching him light it up for the Chilliwack Chiefs back in the day, but I'd rather see him excel with the Thrashers than steal a roster spot from one of our kids. He's just not an NHLer on a cup contender in my opinion.

We're pretty much where I'd thought we'd be - out of the playoffs and no Demitra in the lineup. Coming in to this season anyone with a brain would be able to recognize that this isn't a playoff team, and they're performing just as I suspected they would.

NOOOOOOOO.

Hopefully someone steps up big for the Moose next season.

If Grabner makes the Canucks and Krog is gone, they're going to have troubles repeating the success of last year.

Edler point prediction: 12 goals, 33 assists and 45 points / Edler point counter: 0 goals, 7 assists and 7 points.

Do you know of anyone that tears it up in the NHL but not in the AHL?

I remember way back when we signed Krog, Price and .. etc on the 1040 mentioned how there were a few cases such as that.

I kind of see what they mean-- feeding off of skilled and better players in the NHL but when you're the go to guy on the farm, it's much harder.

You will be missed. Farewell and best of luck, Markus.

His 4 games, he did nothing wrong, which was the reason I didn't feel he got a fair shot here. I mean jeeze, in 4 games playing 10 minutes a game, he had 5 shots (3 missed shots), 1 goal on the PP, was even plus/minus, 3 hits, 1 blocked shot, and was 58.3% on the draw. He didn't play himself out of a chance.

I hope he can get top 6 minutes in Atlanta they dont have anything, I wanted to see him get a shot here cause honestly i see him getting 60 points in an offencive role, not a bottom 6 spot.

I agree, but sometimes it's a numbers game and needing the confidence of the coach.

I think Wellwood essentially robbed Krog any chance at making this team last year. Simply put, there's no room.

No, I think he's just looking for a situation where he has an opporunity to at least battle for a roster spot. There isn't that opportunity here.
