There's a reason he has never stuck in the NHL, its not just bad luck. Its too bad for the Moose though, it'll be hard for them to fill that spot.

mabey he has bad attitude?

could have pissed off the other players or even the coach

No, the reason is managements love for Raymond. No matter if Raymond makes giveaways, skates in and loses the puck on the board, or whatever, he gets plenty of chance. I honestly think Raymond would have been better off getting a year in the AHL with Krog up here, at least to let Raymond get confidence dominating at that level. I think it would have been better for his development, and not screwed over a player that deserved a shot at the same time.

Darn, I thought he really helped Grabner out. Nice leadership in the AHL. I hope this isn't true.

According to Eliteprospects, and the NHL.com site, Krog has been signed by Atlanta. It isn't on the thrashers site yet, no idea what the contract is. I'm disappointed he didn't get any chance to play here.

I'll take Samuelson over Krog. The Canucks just have WAY too many 2nd/3rd liners to allow Krog in the top 6 or even bottom 6. I take Hansen, Raymond, Wellwood, Bernier, Rypien, Johnson Over Krog as the bottom 6. If he was allowed in the top 6, It would mean the Canucks were going for the number 1 pick in next year's draft

I think we have too much forwards for Krog to succeed as a Canuck, so it's a good move on his part to go to Atlanta. He played okay for us when he was up here though.

That is because Raymond is 24 and Krog is 30 and won't improve. Do you really think Krog is also better than Grabner and Hodgson? How come he never played on any NHL teams for long periods of time? Face it, he is a career AHLer just like winehandle

Raymond was useless as all hell. I think he really did need a full season in the AHL to mature. He's got 44 points in his 120 games with the Canucks, and lots of that time was spent in top 6 roles to give him every opportunity possible.

Only reason I feel why we should have re-signed him is because he is one of the best players in the AHL. He would have helped the Moose out again this year

Too bad, I liked him and I thought he played well for us and the Moose. Hopefully he can find a spot on the Thrashers roster.

Great, I watched him with the Moose, and while he was there, I was shocked to see very little determination or urgency in his play... If he lost the puck, he'd just glide back to his own zone, and I didn't see what all the hype was about...

He was lost and was never found in the AHL playoffs this year. Not sad to see him go in the least.. He has zero hustle.

A classic example of a guy who can excel in the AHL but it just doesn't translate to the NHL. I hope he does well...always had a soft spot for him since watching him light it up for the Chilliwack Chiefs back in the day, but I'd rather see him excel with the Thrashers than steal a roster spot from one of our kids. He's just not an NHLer on a cup contender in my opinion.

So he should make the Canucks.

What is with all you people with a hard-on for Krog. "Give him some ice time and watch him put up some numbers"...sheesh!

2003 - Anaheim NHL GP80 G6 A12 P18 -4
2002 - Anaheim NHL GP67 G10 A15 P25 +1
(according to Sportsnet)

He's had his chance at the NHL level.

And stop this Raymond bashing...he's what, 21?! He'll come around. We NEED to give our younger players a chance to work through the growing pains in the NHL not the AHL.
