could have pissed off the other players or even the coach
No, the reason is managements love for Raymond. No matter if Raymond makes giveaways, skates in and loses the puck on the board, or whatever, he gets plenty of chance. I honestly think Raymond would have been better off getting a year in the AHL with Krog up here, at least to let Raymond get confidence dominating at that level. I think it would have been better for his development, and not screwed over a player that deserved a shot at the same time.

I'll take Samuelson over Krog. The Canucks just have WAY too many 2nd/3rd liners to allow Krog in the top 6 or even bottom 6. I take Hansen, Raymond, Wellwood, Bernier, Rypien, Johnson Over Krog as the bottom 6. If he was allowed in the top 6, It would mean the Canucks were going for the number 1 pick in next year's draft

That is because Raymond is 24 and Krog is 30 and won't improve. Do you really think Krog is also better than Grabner and Hodgson? How come he never played on any NHL teams for long periods of time? Face it, he is a career AHLer just like winehandle

Raymond was useless as all hell. I think he really did need a full season in the AHL to mature. He's got 44 points in his 120 games with the Canucks, and lots of that time was spent in top 6 roles to give him every opportunity possible.

2003 - Anaheim NHL GP80 G6 A12 P18 -4
2002 - Anaheim NHL GP67 G10 A15 P25 +1
(according to Sportsnet)
He's had his chance at the NHL level.
And stop this Raymond bashing...he's what, 21?! He'll come around. We NEED to give our younger players a chance to work through the growing pains in the NHL not the AHL.
