I have been consistantly thinking that Grabner would make the team this year after his play in the regular season and playoffs for the moose. But i know he has no idea what defence is so he would have to play with kesler probably to help develop that part of his game and to balance out the line.

Im not going to make a mock line up because there are nine million threads like that
im purely asking what you guys think should happen with grabner, I think he is ready and should be given a shot because he could surprise the non-believers and be that pure goal scorer he has been for manitoba.

what do you guys think of this kid

(the search engine is down so sorry if there are already topics on this)

if given the chance to play the wing the entire season with the sedins you'll see burrows with 40 goals.

He's going to get traded. Package deal with Schneider, Grabner, and Hansen.

He played very good defense this past season.

Not a damned problem. He's staying with the team until further notice.

i really like the idea of keeping him on the Moose as like, a designated Demitra substitute. 'Cause we all know pretty well that Demitra is going to miss a significant number of games and we're definitely going to need a replacement. Plus, staying on the Moose and dominating some more could very much help Grabner build his confidence further and round out his game some more. Plus, that way we have a player available to bring up and down without sitting a good offensive player in the press box all year, or risking the waiver wire on somebody else.

Of course all of that is contingent on Grabner not coming into camp and blowing everybody's expectations out of the water and completely excelling. :)

Theres no room for him.

Unless a trade is made that offloads Wellwood and Raymond, I just don't see him fitting in.

Don't forget that Sundin still needs to decide whether or not hes playing, if he comes back then its even worse for Grabner.

Too early to tell if he'll make the team this year. He made some strides last season, but we'll see how he does at camp. He's got as good a shot as anyone to make the team, but he's got to bring it come training camp. Nobody should be given a roster spot, every player should have to earn their place. If Grabner proves he should be here, he will be.

I don't care how good Kopitar gets, I will never believe that drafting Luc Bourdon was a mistake. Never.
