Yes. 2-4 mil range.

Runs the PP and put in the 3-4 pairing perhaps so he doesn't have to play 25 minutes a night or the best players constantly; he is nearing the end.

You will be missed. Farewell and best of luck, Markus.

It would be good if we signed him. His the type of puck moving D man we need.

Get Zubov, lure over Koltsov.

I think this signing would be almost as ineffective as the Sundin signing was last year. What is the difference between a 38 year old Swedish center and a 39 year old Russian defenseman? He's never healthy. Ever. No thank you.

This would be this season's Sundin move, but hopefully Zubov would come at a far better price, since he's banged-up and all.

Him and Salo would pretty much share the season.

Man, do we need some defensive prospects or what? RIP Bourdon.

Sauve
Ellington
Oberg
Price
Andersson
etc..???
I believe if Oberg has an outstanding camp, he could make the roster sooner than you think

Zubov! Yes please!

2 years - 5 million the first year, 450,00 the second year.

2.5 million dollar cap hit, then buy him out after he retires next season.

I think there's a limit to how much you can front load a contract.

If that's the intention, it might make more sense to give him a 3 or 4 year deal to get the cap hit down.
Busy cultivating useless good taste.

SUNDIN IS COMING. LOOK BUSY.

We're pretty much where I'd thought we'd be - out of the playoffs and no Demitra in the lineup. Coming in to this season anyone with a brain would be able to recognize that this isn't a playoff team, and they're performing just as I suspected they would.

this guy is a very very good defenseman

he is getting there, but still very good dman

considering he was injured for a long part, he will probably come for relatively cheap
Im thinking 1 year 3 million, if he was heatlhy he could get upwards of 5 at least

Malkin. Semin. Ovechkin. Kovalchuk.

I love Zubov and think he would be great here as long as it is around 2-4M for a 1 year contract...although I'm still hoping for MA Bergeron.

Oberg, yes. We'll see.

But the others are eons away from being effective top-4 guys, if they're ever that. We really, really needed Bourdon around to bridge the gap. RIP.

If he is healthy then he will be a big boost to the club.

If not he is glaring hole on the backend.

Isn't Seidenberg still available?

Well you only take him if he is healthy. I've seen signings and trades voided due to a player failing a physical. Just put him up to really high standards. If he fails, he's out.

no way on a 2yr deal
QUOTE (G0NUCKSG0 @ Jun 3 2009, 05:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Salo should be making $1.5M, not $3.75M, especially when he is hurt. I like that Mitchell for Johnson proposal. Injecting youth into our defensive corps would be good for us. Johnson and Mitchell are similar players, Erik has more offensive upside though.

J Bo's a bum, Bieksa would mop the ice with him in most aspects of the game.

I have been saying this since July 1- he would be a great addition providing he stays healthy..

He has had two cups rings.

What about Bouche as a good puck moving defenceman? Isn't he available as a UFA? I don't know what everyone else thinks of him, but seems like a good choice if any.

$55 a year and he has to pay for his own flights.

... I swear some of you are ridiculous.

If we sign him, looks like Gillis is just trying to improve slightly untill the youth/hodgson era starts, then i can see him building around them

IF he has recovered from his injury, and the contract isn't too much, I'd LOVE to get him. He's a very, very good d-man.

I just remember him from the 2006-07 playoff series against the Stars and he was killing us. Who knows how that series turned out if he was healthy enough to play in game 7. Nonetheless, he could do for us what Rafalski does for the Wings.

Same result because the Canucks still had Trevor Linden.
