Ah memories...

What was the lineup we dressed again?

Bryan Allen, Steve McCarthy, Wade Brookbank, Nolan Baumgartner, Tomas Mojzis, Prestin Ryan, Sven Butenschon?

I remember being like 15 or 16 or something and being SO stoked on Baumgartner ripping up on the PP when everyone else was injured. I went to try and get a Baum jersey from like 20 stores and they all just laughed at me and said no, hence why I have 2 lindens...

What most of you seem to not realise is the commitment and effort that you have to go through in order to get into the NHL. Steve once told me that I could do it if I set my mind to it, he was the whole reason why I am who I am today. I may not have made it, and I never will, but you have to understand what these players go through to get where they are today. A lot of you "fracktards" (yeah cuz I can be immature too), just dont get it, and say "Oh he sucks" well go try to live his life. I bet you wouldn't be able to.

so back at you for not getting how hard they work,

wow (same great brand but now with more frack you)

Good rant! I feel this way quite often when I come onto CDC. Just getting drafted was huge and even though I haven't played in NHL (yet!), I have worked my tail off and see many do same amount of effort and NONE of these guys "suck". There are some players I simply dislike due to attitudes of expectation, cancers in the room, etc. but they are still highly talented individuals. It is like those "Pyatt can't skate" posters who likely ankle skate....at best.

Alex Burrows, I fail to see the reason why nobody questions his ability to play in the nhl. He can't skate; its ridiculous. IMOP Alex Burrow's an embarrassment to the team. Please Gillis let this guy go and keep Krog or Pettinger or Brown whoever.

We could of signed Hossa or Camalleri. You know what other teams think of us? Gay club. The Sedins are playing like homosexuals.

the Canucks' GM sells houses. How's his opinion any more expert, as you implied, than a pop singer?
QUOTE (blankall @ Mar 5 2009,)
I'm gonna laugh my donkey off in April when the Flames finish the season with way more goals than the Canucks and a division title.

A) Recyclying is for Budgies and ????.
B) Oh yeah, I compared him to "OTHER NHL PLAYERS" too. He is better than our 7-8th D-core. And on this board I am pretty sure people would compare them to themselves.
C) Well I tend to stay away from beaking people who have a better life than me, I may say some players have had bad games, but I wont say they are useless. Luongo let us down... doesn't mean he is a bum. Byron Ritchie didn't work well with us, doesn't mean he's a bum. You see sometimes people repect NHL'ers for their commitment to the game they love, and not their talent level.
D) He was a first rounder, he IS good. Maybe not as good as Lidstrom, but who is?

What most of you seem to not realise is the commitment and effort that you have to go through in order to get into the NHL. Steve once told me that I could do it if I set my mind to it, he was the whole reason why I am who I am today. I don't know any small birds that recycle, and just because you love global warming doesn't mean I have to.

You compared him to other NHL players in appearance quirks? I was referring to the comment of "when did you make it to the NHL". I just hate that arguement.

Also, if you apparently have some personal relationship with Steve Mcarthy (if that's who you were referring to) then of course I understand why you would be upset.

And I don't think someone throwing out that he's a tool because his chinstrap is rediculous and he blew donkey for the Canucks means they don't understand it takes a lifetime of commitment to make it to the NHL. How could you possibly not know that? I don't know anyone who thinks that someone just pops on skates and sends a letter to an NHL team asking to be drafted.

And as for fracktard..... fine it's immature. you win.

But... maybe I'm alone on this, but is this what you expect from everyone?

"Well Pyatt has had 4 poor seasons now, he is still more skilled than I am"

Pyatt is a bad skater in comparison to others in the leauge!

So instead of anyone saying "Pyatt can't f*cking skate", I should attach a comment about how he could still skate circles around me? Why is that necessary?

It is not necessary but an athlete that gets to the NHL does not "suck". They are all extremely talented. The only thing that can "suck" with them is when their heads get too big and they think they are above their team and the game. However, they are still highly talented athletes and for couch jockeys to say their skill level "sucks" is a bit much at times.

Oh, and Pyatt is not a "bad skater in comparison to others in the league". He would be a mid-grade level.....he has 500ish NHL games....didn't do that being a poor skater mate.

We'll just agree to disagree on Pyatt's skating.

Hey, how about you all shut the frack up? :)

"OMG he wears a chinstrap"
-umm so? Ovechkin wears a necklace, Crosby can't grow a beard, Luongo is greasy as frack, bertuzzi likes to sucker-punch, sedins are gingers. Everyone has thier own thing.

"He's such a tool"
-Oh yeah? and when was it again that you made the NHL?

"he's a cancer"
-That is 100% false, maybe if Crawford wasn't such a frack-up he would still be on the team. He started scoring as soon as he was traded, making us look like a bunch of idiots. Crawford didn't allow him to play, and THAT is why he requested the move.

"Look at me, I'm a typical retard on CDC who cant play hockey but likes ripping on people who can"
-Why yes you are, and how kind of you to admit it.

Fact"
-McCarthy is better than some of our depth defense. He would fit in nice as a 6-7 guy if we gave him a chance. As much as I love the canucks, I hope he fracking scores every game against us, just so you guys can STFU :)

/endrant

You sir
Are one of the smartest people
I have ever met on CDC

lol, ok budgies must be a local thing :P But yeah don't worry I recycle, just dont base my life around it. I understand where you are gettign at, and maybe I am a little bias because he taught me some pretty good lessons in life as well as hockey, but I wont ever say he sucks.. not even compared to NHL'ers. But when people say an NHL'er sucks, it just gets to me because they really dont. And you would be surprised at how many people think they can just not try and say "hey sign me" to an NHL team. I have grown up with idiots like that. We both have our differences, but i think we also understand each other's opinioons, so I mean that is good. And yeah, he is one of my heros. But yeah... fracktard is an interesting word

During that game they were showing Gretz on the bench and I said to my son (who was 8 at the time) - do you know who that is?

He said 'Yeah, that is Wayne Gretzky. He is the best player ever. But now he is retarded.' (he meant to say retired)
