when and where did he say that?
i would make that trade tho , the one thing that put me off Demitra was the playoffs. He didnt show that intensity some of the other canucks had , such as bernier. Even Raymond stepped up his intensity a little bit , he was throwing hits and getting in the corners something Demitra seemed reluctant to do.

Demitras shoulder was destroyed. The guy is worth what he makes.
As for the deal itself, not a bad idea if u can get a solid Dman in return. If not then just sign the "other" Schneider to a 1 year deal.

Listen guys, Kesler and Burrows last season showed us that they are top-six material, with Samuelsson signed, we don't need to do anything drastic before training camp starts. I mean with all the top UFA gone, we should preserve our $ for signing a $3.5-million reliable defenseman. If we add any top-six forwards, do we really want to have Burrows or Kesler back on a third-line role again? Plus, we have Grabner and Hodgson coming up, we just need a experience workhorse defenseman, nothing too flashy or expensive.

Guys, face it. We've used up all our luck the day we got Bure. We should be very happy the Hockey Gods gave us another chance with Luongo.

Agreed. We have way too many forwards. The development of our prospects may take a drastic hit. Since Hodgson cannot play in the AHL, it's either the NHL or the OHL. He has nothing to proof in the OHL. It can only hinder his development. I expect Hodgson to play as third line center next year.
