If you ask me, that was more a result of AV trying to adjust to the Hawks style instead of playing our game, coupled with the fact that our defence wasn't quick enough moving the puck to avoid the Hawks forecheck. Our 4th line could use some work, but it's not as bad as people would have you think.

yeah, i saw our 4th line as somewhat of a problem at times during that series. they're a very good 'traditional 4th line' for sure, but it seemed like time and time again, they were unable to deal with the 'more skilled' Hawks' 4th line. on top of that, the Hawks rolled 4 lines most of the time, which seemed to leave our 4th line out there for shift lengths that maybe weren't as comfortable for some of our 4th line players. plus, it seems to me as though come playoff time, a guy like Hordichuk loses a large portion of his value in the lineup if he isn't going to fight, and should maybe be used more sparingly while a more 'energy' player subs in for him rather than having a 'non-combatant heavyweight' on the ice for part of the game. this is ESPECIALLY true if AV is going to try to bump up the ice time of our 4th line to come closer to matching the other teams' more skilled 4th lines.

Use the cap space to get a D (I like Mara or Seidenberg). If theres enough cap left try to get a 2nd line player (Sundin if he's cheap enough, maybe Jason Williams).
