This post is reasonable. High profile source with his agent as the specific source in the article.
I think Sundin wants back to Van IMHO , but i dont know if 4mil is in the deal.
its a LONG grind but he now has connections to vancouver and he is yet to even play in the finals.
Odds are still that he plays this year.
Edit :
After i have thought about it, why doesnt gillis do this ?
Goto sundin and offer him 3mil signing bonus and 1mil salary.
Sundin gives Gillis his unwritten word he will goto training camp and give it until xmas .
At xmas if he inst keeping up, or nux or losing or he isnt having fun or any combo then he can retire no hard feelings.
Or if hes having fun and can produce he keeps playing.
I think if we have the cap space its a fair deal.
Both parties chance great reward but also risk getting burned.

Why would we burn 4million on the cap for someone who isn't even committed? Also, why would we waste a roster space when someone could be getting much needed experience? He's over 35 so his bonus and salary will still count against our cap. I think I`m seeing this either very clearly, or I`m missing something very important here.
