I read in the in Sun today that Samuelsson is expected to be in a top 6 role? How does this all work?
Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Demitra - Sundin - Kesler
Bernier - Hodgson - Samuelsson
Hordichuk - Johnson - Rypien
pretty smexxi
....BUT BUT BUT shouldn't Grabner deserve a fair shot & what about Wellwood?!

Um Im pretty sure Wellwood is going to be in the line-up. Maybe replacing Horidchuk or Rypien.
But Grabner I think is gonna spend another year with the moose. Just in case.

1. A 2 way contract means you can be sent down without clearing waivers. False - All it means is you get paid an ahl salary if sent down and has nothing to do with waivers.
2. You can buyout a player any time during the year. False - There's a specific buyout period window when teams are allowed to buyout players.
3. Sending a rookie down before they played 10 nhl games saves a year on their entry level contract. False - This only applies to CHL players like hodgson who aren't 20 yet and not to players like Shirokov.

he looked lost and hesitate to do anything with the puck whenever he had it. But he still averaged 3 points every 4 games on his abilities and the hard work and talent of Demitra and Kesler.
People say he was slow due to his age. I would like to disagree. I thought he was slow because he just didn't know what to do in a Canucks uniform, and therefore was afraid of doing something stupid.
If he can come back and play another full season in a smaller role I think he could be quite effective.
Or I could be all wrong....

if he really wants to win and it's not about the money for him anymore he'll sign for less and work hard to become a big part of our team again

I love the numerous posts about Calgary's cap trouble, then this epic fail.
The Canucks have 7.2 million in cap space.
That's with Aaron Rome, and Lawrence Nycholat as your 5 and 6 d-men. They also have 11 forwards under contract.
The Canucks need to bring in 3 more players. They easily have the cap space for this, but the problem is if they bring in Kaberle who do they plan on shipping out?
So the plan for Canucks fans is to bring in Kaberle, without giving up any roster spots. Then sign Sundin for under 3 million...... right.
The Canucks will not be bringing in any top 4 d-men. They will be signing 1 or 2, 5 and 6 pairing d-men. That will leave them with 5 million in cap space and 2 more forwards to sign. It took you 10 million to lure away Sundin last year, and now he is going to come for under 3?
