Kesler is a top 6 forward now...no more 3rd line for him.

LMAO, after the Sedins, Burrows (even though he did play with the Sedins, he still did great) and Kesler were our best offensive forwards and their reward is getting knocked down to the 3rd, checking line LOL.

Actually, if you think about it, Cujo isn't as bad an idea as people think. Luongo wants to play roughly 70 games or so, right? Joseph is a good team guy who provides a veteran presence and locker room leadership. He can also step in and play solid in relief of Luongo. And if Luongo gets hurt?? Then we bring Schneider up and give him his shot, and Joseph would be a great mentor for a young guy like Schneider. He'd be the perfect fit as a backup, and he'd likely be fairly affordable to boot.

Samuelsson can play a shut down role as well. I think thats the last thing the team needs.

Cujo wouldn't be horrible if available, but virtually any backup will do. Someone mentioned Raycroft; at a decent price that wouldn't be terrible either.

M.A. Bergeron is not 'better'. He's just like Bieksa, with less grit, and just as many turnovers. One is enough, at least Bieksa brings intangibles.

the last thing we need right now is a shut down forward! We need more offense. Adding Kessel which I hope will become reality would add that offensive touch that we lack of right now (not saying that we didn't have it before just that 2 twins can't carry the team to a cup) then add a defensive defensemen who can move the puck

If we add an offensive defensemen we still haven't filled the hole for Ohlund have we?

Francois Beuchemin is the answer and in my opinion afordable then bring in Sanford (even better than Cujo in all areas, game, influence, and is very liked in the lockerroom

you can't bring in a guy to a new team and he automaticly is big in the lockerroom..

My Vancouver Canucks Roster 2009/1010

D. Sedin - H. Sedin - Burrows
Demitra - Kesler - Samuelsson
Raymond - Hodgson/Wellwood - Bernier
Hordichuk - Johnson - Rypien
Grabner

Mitchel - Salo
Edler - UFA
Bieksa - O'brien
Rome

Luongo
Raycroft
RED = still not signed players.
Retire Markus Näslund's 19 already!!

I'm not a huge fan of Bergeron or anything but he is ten times the puck-mover that Bieksa is, nevermind the way harder shot.
