avelanch Posted July 9, 2012 Share Posted July 9, 2012 (edited) we had a rare thunderstorm down here in Bonney lake nast night too (it must have made it's way up north to you guys). it was pretty much all sheet lightning, but still pretty cool. not quite as intense as some of the thunderstorms i've been in in the midwest, but still a nice little taste. avelanch Posted July 13, 2012 Share Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) Yeah lots of lightning last night Hard to believe that thunder is in the forecast because the weather is so nice but it'd be sweet if we got a storm similar to that crazy one we got in 09! hot dry weather ALWAYS brings a chance of thunderstorms. the reason the pacific NW so rarely get's thunderstorms is because it's so temperate. go to the praries and it's a weekly occurance (and the lightning storm is a bolt every couple seconds, or less. not one every couple mins , plus it's loud fork lighting for the most part, not rumbling sheet lighting.)
