I still wish I would have known about the growth thing not being realistic.  I wanted him to top out at 5'7" - 5'9", not 5'4"

I still wish I would have known about the growth thing not being realistic.  I wanted him to top out at 5'7" - 5'9", not 5'4"

I wouldn't call it unrealistic, but I guess it's not really ideal. I was 5'9" at 14 and I've only grown about 2 inches in the last 2 (almost 3) years.

Anyways, I guess you'll know for next time. Hopefully your guy can manage in the NHL.

Average height for a 14-year-old male is 5'3" ... Average height for a 25-year-old male is 5'10" ...

Everyone grows differently, obviously, some hit growth spurts early, some later, but most will grow several inches between 14 and 22 ... :shrug:
