"They told me six more weeks to go, but I am shooting for the middle of October," Demitra said.

"Day-by-day it's getting better. You never know."

Demitra tore the rotator cuff in his left shoulder during the second round of the playoffs against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Glad it's finally out in the open now as it was the worst kept secret. It's really no surprise as he had shoulder surgery in late may and that's a 4-6 month recovery period. If he healed in 4 months he would have been ready for october. It sounds like it'll be 5 months which is right in line with the surgery he had.

I was wrong. The Sedins are legit superstars and are IRREPLACEABLE.
Common Myths:
1. A 2 way contract means you can be sent down without clearing waivers. False - All it means is you get paid an ahl salary if sent down and has nothing to do with waivers.
2. You can buyout a player any time during the year. False - There's a specific buyout period window when teams are allowed to buyout players.
3. Sending a rookie down before they played 10 nhl games saves a year on their entry level contract. False - This only applies to CHL players like hodgson who aren't 20 yet and not to players like Shirokov.
