Recommended Posts

Minnesota sophomore Taylor Matson played just the first 13 games of the 2008-09 season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee against Michigan on Nov. 28. After a long summer of rehabilitation, Matson says his knee is stronger than ever and shared some of his experiences and his excitement for the upcoming 2009-10 season, which begins with an exhibition game on Oct. 4 against British Columbia.

As Taylor's university career comes to a close next weekend (as early as Thursday if they lose, Saturday at the latest if they win on thurs and make the NCAA final) here's a look back at his university career:

				|Regular Season |Playoffs

Season	Team Lge	|GP	G	A	Pts	PIM	|GP	G	A	Pts	PIM

2008-09	U. of Minnesota	WCHA	|13	1	0	1	2	|

2009-10	U. of Minnesota	WCHA	|19	2	3	5	6	|

2010-11	U. of Minnesota	WCHA	|33	10	3	13	16	|

2011-12	U. of Minnesota	WCHA	|41	7	14	21	26	|5	1	2	3	2

Not exactly outstanding, and he was never at the top of the team scoring, but he's shown progress so who knows, he might turn out to be a good 3rd/4th liner.

I honestly forgot he was still our prospect, but that'll happen for a 6th rounder with little to no fanfare who's had numerous injury issues.

Taylor Matson officially with more pro points than Pat White.

First assist on Jensen's goal with the Wolves tonight.

Hoping the best for this guy who seems by all reports to posses good leadership qualities and dedication (after all those injuries). Now he's just gotta work on being a bit more consistent..

Woooop.
