Brunnstrom has 2 assists in 4 games this year.

Anyone know what line he's playing on? 1st or 2nd?

It's still early, but his play hasn't really made him noticeable - that's not a good thing, considering all the hype surrounding him last year (or was it the year before?). Brunnstrom for a puck moving defenseman? If that's all that Dallas is offering up, good luck in trying to get a good puck moving dman. They'll have to sweeten their offer, before any team comes knocking at their door.

I'm glad that we didn't get Brunnstrom. What was Nonis thinking??

#19 up to the rafters of GM Place!!

Bieksa and 1st for Ribeiro and 1st? Dallas will be worst than Vancouver in the standings so their position should be better than ours. This will give us secondary scoring as well, doubt Dallas will bite though

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Demitra - Ribeiro - Kesler
Sammy - Wellwood - Bernier
Raymond - Johnson - Rypien

Edler - Mitchell
Erhoff - Salo
O'brien - O'berg/Schneider

So Dallas would trade a more valuable 1st round pick for a worse 1st round pick (assuming the Canucks finish ahead of them) plus their #1 point getter for Kevin Bieksa? I don't think so.

The Stars have Robidas (maybe the league's most underrated defenseman) and and up and comer in Niskanen. Personally I like the talent on that team but Turco has clearly lost it and they need a long term solution in net which is why I thought and still do think the Schneider to Dallas "rumors" make sense.

Chicago needs to clear salary so how bout...

Benn to Chicago for Barker?

People on this site overrate Edler and a big way and for the most part with all the tools this guy has he has been a dissappointment for me. For every good or decent play Edler makes there seems to be twice as much poor plays he makes if not more.

Edler is still young but his play has continued to be the most inconsistent of all our dmen and he needs to improve!

Edler playing on top of his game is a good player for this team but that seems to be a very rare occurence and unfortunately he hasn't seemed to be getting any better.

Edler for Benn would be a good deal for the Canucks from what i have seen but i wouldn't make that deal until Salo and M Schneider are healthy. When they are healthy to me Edler is expendable and Benn looks to be a great young player that will only get better.

Later on in the season to get another top quality dman prospect in the system i would trade C. Schneider and possibly a draft pick for that guy.

When they're both healthy? Are you joking? Salo is constantly hurt, and Schneider will be gone next year, and Salo the next. Who is going to fill in next year? Just trade Cory and a pick for a top quality defenseman prospect? Woah, didn't know it was that easy! Why not do it right now?

Landing an awesome dman prospect for C Schneider and a draft pick to a team that wants a goalie of the future would be that easy why the hell wouldn't it!

Our dmen lineup would be just fine without overrated Edler next year the way he is playing.

Dallas isn't trading away their future captain/top prospect.

Hmm, reminds me of an even more hyped played picked in the 1st round. And hes gonna be playing in the OHL until hes 20. I think, I could be wrong, but I think his name is Cody Hodgson? :)

Not Brunnstrom!? But Dave Nonis, the hockey genius, was sure this guy was a hockey god and wanted to sign him so badly!

Reading things like this makes me enjoy the fact that donut boy was fired even more.

Yeah, because the current GM has completely stayed away from these kinds of players...

Evan Oberg, Eric Walsky

Yep..definately would have sucked to get a talented, young forward, with potential for nothing..stupid Nonis...

Or then of course there's always the Ferry

Also,
I'm putting together a list of the criteria to be a "real" Canuck's fan. So far I have this:

1. I cheer for the Canucks, whatever happens.
2. I never say anything bad about the Canucks.
3. I know the difference between "real" fans and posers just by how they post on the CDC or where they sit at GM Place.
4. I wouldn't dream of leaving a game before it ended, even if it meant missing a train, ferry or a threesome with the wife and her hot best friend?
5. I make 10+ posts a day and I have over 10,000 posts on the CDC, so my Canuck "street-cred" is huge. Go away noob!
6. No one F's with me. I train in MMA. I'm really tough. I'll curb stomp yo' donkey.
7. I make a tonne of $$$$.
8. I'm witty.
9. If it meant missing a game, I wouldn't study for a midterm.
10. I roll with a guy who has a wicked car.
11. I like to post "source?" a lot.

Hal Gill?

Although it could be that he just looks like he's standing still?

Timelapse photography could help answer this question, I suppose. Like in that movie Secret Life of Plants (1979).

Sorry, couldn't resist... ;)

AHAHA...totally, he has looked awful so far this season.
