Anyone know what line he's playing on? 1st or 2nd?
It's still early, but his play hasn't really made him noticeable - that's not a good thing, considering all the hype surrounding him last year (or was it the year before?). Brunnstrom for a puck moving defenseman? If that's all that Dallas is offering up, good luck in trying to get a good puck moving dman. They'll have to sweeten their offer, before any team comes knocking at their door.
I'm glad that we didn't get Brunnstrom. What was Nonis thinking??

#19 up to the rafters of GM Place!!

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Demitra - Ribeiro - Kesler
Sammy - Wellwood - Bernier
Raymond - Johnson - Rypien
Edler - Mitchell
Erhoff - Salo
O'brien - O'berg/Schneider
So Dallas would trade a more valuable 1st round pick for a worse 1st round pick (assuming the Canucks finish ahead of them) plus their #1 point getter for Kevin Bieksa? I don't think so.

Edler is still young but his play has continued to be the most inconsistent of all our dmen and he needs to improve!
Edler playing on top of his game is a good player for this team but that seems to be a very rare occurence and unfortunately he hasn't seemed to be getting any better.
Edler for Benn would be a good deal for the Canucks from what i have seen but i wouldn't make that deal until Salo and M Schneider are healthy. When they are healthy to me Edler is expendable and Benn looks to be a great young player that will only get better.
Later on in the season to get another top quality dman prospect in the system i would trade C. Schneider and possibly a draft pick for that guy.

Landing an awesome dman prospect for C Schneider and a draft pick to a team that wants a goalie of the future would be that easy why the hell wouldn't it!
Our dmen lineup would be just fine without overrated Edler next year the way he is playing.

Hmm, reminds me of an even more hyped played picked in the 1st round. And hes gonna be playing in the OHL until hes 20. I think, I could be wrong, but I think his name is Cody Hodgson?

Reading things like this makes me enjoy the fact that donut boy was fired even more.
Yeah, because the current GM has completely stayed away from these kinds of players...
Evan Oberg, Eric Walsky
Yep..definately would have sucked to get a talented, young forward, with potential for nothing..stupid Nonis...
Also,
I'm putting together a list of the criteria to be a "real" Canuck's fan. So far I have this:
1. I cheer for the Canucks, whatever happens.
2. I never say anything bad about the Canucks.
3. I know the difference between "real" fans and posers just by how they post on the CDC or where they sit at GM Place.
4. I wouldn't dream of leaving a game before it ended, even if it meant missing a train, ferry or a threesome with the wife and her hot best friend?
5. I make 10+ posts a day and I have over 10,000 posts on the CDC, so my Canuck "street-cred" is huge. Go away noob!
6. No one F's with me. I train in MMA. I'm really tough. I'll curb stomp yo' donkey.
7. I make a tonne of $$$$.
8. I'm witty.
9. If it meant missing a game, I wouldn't study for a midterm.
10. I roll with a guy who has a wicked car.
11. I like to post "source?" a lot.

Although it could be that he just looks like he's standing still?
Timelapse photography could help answer this question, I suppose. Like in that movie Secret Life of Plants (1979).
Sorry, couldn't resist...
AHAHA...totally, he has looked awful so far this season.
