Between 50 and 100 millimetres is expected to fall in Metro Vancouver from Friday to Saturday night, according to the national weather agency. A deep low-pressure system will pass west of Haida Gwaii Friday night and the associated front will produce southwest winds of 80 to 100 kilometres an hour. Between 25 and 50 mm of rain will fall over parts of the south coast Friday night. A second low will cross the north coast Saturday night, again bringing strong winds to the north and heavy rain to the south. The temperature will reach a low of 13 C Friday night.
