They fear Dave Pratt's wrath.

"You clowns want your own cycle lane, then answer me this. How come you never bring out your bikes when it's raining, which just so happens to be almost half the year? *creepy uncle snicker*" or something along those lines.

I still remember listening to his rant that day, couldn't stop laughing. He later proceeded to call the cyclists terrorists :lol:

First weather warning of the season

METRO VANCOUVER -- Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the start of Thanksgiving weekend.

Between 50 and 100 millimetres is expected to fall in Metro Vancouver from Friday to Saturday night, according to the national weather agency.

A deep low-pressure system will pass west of Haida Gwaii Friday night and the associated front will produce southwest winds of 80 to 100 kilometres an hour. Between 25 and 50 mm of rain will fall over parts of the south coast Friday night.

A second low will cross the north coast Saturday night, again bringing strong winds to the north and heavy rain to the south.

The temperature will reach a low of 13 C Friday night.
