For us in Vancouver, it rains 200 days a year so lots of people are sick of it, while it snows maybe 10 days a year except for last year. In Riga, it might snow more often I'm not sure. I'm not a rain hater though I find it comforting. My family just got a metal roof this spring and it magnifies the sounds of the individual rain drops. Is Vancouver a windy city? not so much today but yes it can get pretty windy. that's when being outside gets impossible. another rainfoll warning has been issued for Metro Van All the heavy rain out there has prompted Environment Canada to issue a rainfall warning for Metro Vancouver. Upwards of 50 millimetres of rain is expected Saturday. That means the potential for areas of pooling water or localized flooding. The rain will die down this afternoon but pick up again this evening. Keep it on News1130 for traffic and weather together every 10 minutes on the ones.
