First of all, why is Hodgson playing with Kesler on the second? Second of all, why is Higgins on the fourth when you know Kesler and Higgins have chemistry? If you're going to use Hodgson, use him in a fourth/third line role. And third of all, why are they question marks beside Edler, when we have two extra defense men? Either throw Alberts, or Rome in there. Or ever move Salo up and put one of them on the third pairing. We do have them for a reason.

he's a passer not a goal scorer he needs a passer in 39 games 5 goals and 13 assist isn't bad when your playing in dallas

To the guy above me, its still a void we need to fill.

We could sign Zenon for around $600,000 for a 1 year deal. Hes tough, fast, great on Faceoffs and can fight.

My only worry is his smarts, he takes alot of penalties and is a liability in that way. I would love him to fight but minus the tripping, slashing calls, etc.

I am sure I am not the first to find this but you can take players in and out and remove them/etc from different teams. Kind of cool. Having said that here is my team

Here is my line up

Clowe-Kesler-Iginla

D Sedin-H Sedin- Burrows

Pacioretty-Malhotra-Knuble

Eager-Lapierre-Anthony Stewart

Keith-Seabrook

Lidstrom-Myers

Salo-Franson

Price

Schneider

I did not use any RFA'S as it would be tough to guestimate how much they will make. Also for the purpose of being "fair" I used all players for there original positions. Things such as not making Kesler a winger as he is a center

Also the point of this is to make a team within the cap. Try to include as many Canucks as you possibly can

So the Sedins, back to back Art Ross winners, are 2nd liners on your team when CLOWE is a first liner? I mean he's good but...

Are we aloud to just make A team within the cap? I'll do my best to atleast include 2 or 3 canuck players =)

Zetterberg Datsyuk Hossa

Burrows Kesler Franzen

T.Mitchell Malholtra Hansen(assuming he makes 2mil tops)

Prust Lapierre Janssen

Kieth Chara

Letang Hamhuis

(Andrew) Mcdonald Hamonic

Luongo

Schneider

This is off the top of my head but it should be right up around the cap. I would have to do more research to build a really good franchise team with players on long contracts etc.

Denis Gauthier (former Coyote and Flyer/Flames ; hurt by injury , low risk high reward and hard hitting like Torres if healthy again)

Shane O'Brien (Vancouver brought him his best years, if he's hit rock bottom, a fan favorite could return as a call-up or 7 dman)

Johnathan Cheechoo (former top line player, lost his game, again another low risk high reward for Gillis...)

Thoughts? Other possible players GM MG may think of bringing in?

Denis Gauthier - Dirty player

Shane O'Brien - He'll sign somewhere.

Jonathan Cheechoo - Sure, give him a shot with the Sedins. Maybe he'll score 56 goals again. He is an Anson Carter type of player with probably greater hockey sense,.

A camp invite? Why not, there is no harm having them play a few pre season games to see if they are worth keeping.

I'd give Cheechoo a chance. He might click with the Sedins or Kesler. You never know. You don't score 50+ goals in the NHL by fluke.
