He's 81 overall and a FA! Quick, go to GM options, Sign Free Agents.

Around 3 years ago, his potential was right up in the high 90's as well. How awesome.

Trade: Corey Schneider
For: Jamie Benn.

Nucks would get a great prospect who will be an RFA next year (similar to Schneider), Big body who drops the gloves and scores, BC boy too!.
Dallas gets a #1 goalie for the next ten years (Kari Lehtonen is a Siv!).

Nucks should then sign:

Winchester and Jansen for the fourth line. Let Oreo go he's garbage...hasnt dropped the gloves once and as was evident in the boston serious doesn't fit the 4th line tough guy role.

Lineup:
Sedins/Burr
Higgins/Kesler/Benn
Hansen/Malhotra/Samuelson
Jansen/Lapiere/Winchester
Andrei Nazarov

Would LOVE to have Arty here, BEAST that could take down ANYONE in the league.

I almost forgot abotu Nazarov.... but having Artyukhin would be a decent fit for the Canucks, they really need a tough guy to clear bodies away and stand-up for some of the scorers.

They have Lehtonen, he isn't exactly a star, but he'll get the job done until Campbell is ready to play in the future years. Dallas doesn't really have a need for Schneider and Benn is gonna be a stud for them.

I like Booth. He would be great.

But that's a steep price: Our two top picks. The cap would be an issue too.

It's ridiculous. Dallas would laugh in our faces. Benn is near untouchable, and they already have a young starting goaltender - no matter how dubious Lethonen's abilities are.

And what happened to Sturm?

The islanders would be good partners to deal with since they need to spend 10 million to reach the cap floor

i think garth snow would be very interested in Schnieder and Hodgson
WHY???
-he needs a starting goalie that still has a cap friendly hit (because of dipetro contract)
- hodgson and taveras shown they have chemistry together. there past would be to intriguing to put aside

snow might have interest in Ballard
- NYI doesn't have any depth on D

there top 9 has a lot of young talent .

FORWARDS
Matt Moulson ($3.133m) -------John Tavares ($3.750m) ----------Michael Grabner ($3.000m)
Blake Comeau (RFA) ------------Frans Nielsen ($0.525m) --------- Kyle Okposo ($2.800m)
Nino Niederreiter ($2.795m) ---------- Joshua Bailey (RFA) ---------------Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau ($1.250m)

what would be a good deal if NYI was interested????

Teams that wanted goalies for better or worse got them already at this point Cory should stay until the trade deadline when his value will be really high again right now we would not get a fair deal.

OK, NYI might be a good trading partner but what top 6 forward do they have that we want. Definitely Tavaras but hes not going anywhere. Michael Grabner would look good in a Canucks uniform.

I can still see us luring Dubinsky or Callahan out of New york. ANY of those two would be a great asset :D

"You find out life's this game of inches, so is hockey. Because in either game - life or hockey - the margin for error is so small. I mean, one half a step too late or too early and you don't quite make it. One half second too slow, too fast and you don't quite save it. The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break of the game, every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches, that's gonna make the f-ing difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!"

Shaddap.

Just move Burrows down to Kesler's wing and get the Sedins the power forward they need.

Callahan? Dubinsky? These two would look good ANYWHERE in the top 6

I would want Dubinsky. He's perfect for the role on the Sedin line - 30 goal scorer, big, fights.

Callahan is gritty and tries hard, but is less skilled than Dubinsky or Burrows, pretty small at 5'11" and doesn't fight much.

Biggest thing I'm looking at after skill is the ability to throw down when people start taking advantage of the Sedins a la Pahlsson, Bolland, Marchand, etc.

Can't always have Bieksa or Ballard come in and protect them - that puts us a man down on defense.

We need that 3rd member on the line to be able to stick up for the Sedins.

I don't care if we've got all left handers, but if we got Dubinsky, gee whiz, what a great top 6 this would be:

Sedin - Sedin - Dubinsky
Higgins - Kesler - Burrows

Dubinsky is the kind of line mate the Sedins have been looking for (not to take anything away from Burrows of course), and the way we have been able to see Burrows play with Kesler, and Higgins play with Kesler in the playoffs, you've got an unbeatable set of top 6 forwards right here :D

!!!!!!!
