The end where they go to the hoser hut and he brings out the song by robyn sparkles pretty sure the episode is Season 4, Disc 2, called "little minnesota" but not positive. Squeak Posted August 27, 2010 Share Posted August 27, 2010 Personally - I find it odd that Season 6 will start airing on Sept. 20, however the Season 5 DVD is not released until Sept. 21. Usually the DVD for the previous season is released the week before to allow people to purchase and 'catch-up' on any missed episodes. ( although in the day and age, everyone just PVR's) Guess I will have to PVR the Season 6 premiere and then watch it after I watch Season 5 DVD, as I missed a couple of episodes ( Gonna have to watch 4-6 episodes of season 5 a day) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I hope we finally find out who the mother is. we probably wont find out until the show is cancelled/ending, unless the writers start runnning out of ideas for the current cast and feel it necessary to inject some freshness into the storyline. As it is, they are still going strong, so I don't see it coming for a while. He just broke up with the mom's roommate, it's going to be a while before he gets with her. I think there were a few episodes last season that weren't that good so maybe they are running out of ideas. I kinda hope they don't ruin the show by dragging it on for too long. The one where he had all those schemes to pick up girls and the last one was that scubadiver one. Anyways, how weird is it that nph is gay in real life? Complete opposites. I don't know what episode it is, but their is one where he talks about his place, and how he has it set up so no women ever want to stay the night, after having a one night stand. The toilet seat automatically goes up, a single bedsheet on the bed, only one pillow, only one towel in the bathroom, no food or snacks, and if they are still around he will expose them to the wall of porn to scare them off...Lengendary. I also like how the show is more realistic than most shows and focuses on a younger generation. They rarely have a scene without someone drinking booze, and often are partying it up. Rachel Bilson aka the Mother's room-mate is filming an episode for this upcoming HIMYM season. So we are inching closer to the reveal i think. I now notice this has already been mentioned... Shame to say, this show has still not gone stale for me. I've seen all 6 season multiple times over, and by multiple, i mean at least 5 times each. No joke. Favorite episodes have to be any of the Thanksgivings and slapbets. The original slapbet with the Robin video is forever my favorite. But i'd have to say this is far away from realism or real life. Come on, would Robin's show even be syndicated? Would a penis building ever go un-noticed by an entire office? Who jumps rooftops in the middle of the night? What does Barney even do - to make what seems like millions, work as little as possible, have time to be a taxi man in the middle of the day to pick up women?? Ted's life with stella makes it to the big screen only to be a blockbuster? The show is many levels of great, but being real is not one of them and that is the essence of why the show is great.
