With Kesler and Raymond? Kinda too slow for that line no?
Put him on the 3rd line with Bernier and Samuelsson? That might be a good choice.

Knowing that they were 1 win away from greatness will haunt the Canucks players in their dreams. It will stick with them all summer....Pushing them and pushing them and driving them harder. Every time they want to quit, they will remember the pain, and push through it. Knowing that they were so close to their dreams will spark a fire inside them, and create a hunger to win like they've never felt before. There's no rest for them until they're champions....

the massage therapy over there is superb, so I hear
this is good news, but seriously, do people really believe he is the one to put us back on track? not so long back he was being torn apart on here. I like him but I have my doubts he will have the impact being expected from him by many on here.

It's not 7.5 per year, Kesler's at 5 million and Malhotra's at 2.5 million

I don't think he is the solution, but we are better with him than without him. Personally I think putting him at center on the 3rd line with Bernier and Glass would be awesome. Or on the Second line with Kes and Ray moving Sammy to the third and glass to the fouth.
Think of it this way. He replaces Hordichuk or Wellwood. How is that not good?

I definitely would put Demitra with Raymond and Kesler. He has the skill set that we need to make plays and put the puck in the back of the net.
And in my opinion Samuelsson is just as slow if not slower than Demitra.

Oh I 100% agree, I much rather have someone like Grabner (when he's healthy again) back on that line. But Demitra's play seemed to be somewhat dispassionate last season, so I'm not sure if he'd be able to keep up intensity wise with that line.
At least Samuelsson is willing to throw hits and forecheck hard along the boards.

IMO, Demo + Bieksa for a big , gritty skilled center would make me feel better about the Nuck's playoff chances.
I believe the Nuck's are ranked 29th in the league in hits. Pittsburg is #1. There will be no playoff's for Vancouver if that stat doesn't improve.

Why mess with the two top lines that are working now? Makes most sense to put Demitra with Samuelsson and Bernier as a potentially great third line.

I'm not sure you know what you are talking about, Grabner was not effective at all along the boards and doesn't forecheck physically. He uses his speed to try and get position on defenders or to get open. Samuelsson uses his size and strength to gain the puck, Demo is fast, not slow as you infer in your earlier post. He is quick shifty, and sees the ice at a whole level above that of either Samuelsson or Grabner. He is not physical either, but is a proven top 6 NHL talent, unlike Grabner or Samuelsson, who are both trying to establish themselves as a consistently contributing top 6ers. I'm not sure if Demo will vault the team to elite status, but he is a better bet to do so than anyone else we have coming back.
