Or maybe Burke will trade away even more first round draft picks.

We talked about it and I said before the overtime that this is where legends are born. I thought about Luc and I said: Lets get the arrow up there. And I was able to get it. I knew he[Bourdon]was going to be with me and I tried to get it done. I don't think that'll be enough for even Waddel. That's talking years down the road. The difference between the Kessel trade picks is that they know they are getting top 10 picks for those.
Not that Burkie wouldn't do that. Burke seems to be under the impression that draft picks cause cancer.

Anyway doesn't Kovy have a no trade clause?? NO way he would go to that disaster situation.
"Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration – that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death; life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves... Here's Tom with the weather!"-Bill Hicks
“When facism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”-Sinclair Lewis
A human being is a part of a whole, called by us _universe_, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."-Albert Einstein

Kaberle could be the centerpiece and Atlanta loses Kubina this year.
Kaberle
Stajan
Kulemin
Ian White
Gunnarsson
3rd round pick 2010 (might as well, right?)
for
Kovalchuk
Todd White
Or something. Stajan and Antropov had decent chemistry. This trade would change Atlanta to a pretty well-rounded
team.
Afinogenov - Antropov - Kulemin
Kozlov - Peverly - Kane
Little - Stajan - Armstrong
Boulton - Reasoner - Thorburn
Slater
Enstrom - Hainsey
Kaberle - Bogosian
White - Salmela
Pavelec
Hedberg

Actually, I want this trade to happen so Burke will give his top prospects and early picks for a guy who will just walk away come post season. And Toronto is once again got screwed over.

Hopefully Kovy will be smart, take less money, and play for a team like Washington or Pittsburgh or Vancouver and sign with a team with a legit shot at the cup.
