Tanev still hasn't played in another game.. I think he might actually be hurt. Anyone here anything else about him?

He just started skating yesterday and is now 'day-to-day', and he should be playing 'soon'.

He had 'a lower body injury'.

Not surprisingly, Tanev was the best player on the ice.

Wonder when he is coming back? He and Ballard are better together than seperated

One day some of us will look back on the year and look at the chicago, and most of us will realize that it was a small bump in the road to the cup

He seems to be playing well in the AHL (12 gp, 8 pts), but we probably won't see him until we are plagued with injuries, which is probably a good thing because it will allow him to fully develop at this level first. I look forward to seeing him play in the green and blue again in the future.

Doing well with the PP minutes he's getting. Good for him to develop his offensive game. He wouldn't have gotten as much playing bottom pairing in Vancouver.

He was injured and left the game on a hit from behind by Greg Scott.

No updates yet, hope he's not injured too badly.

Edit: Here's the video, skip to 1:25. Good to see Roussel jumping in there to protect his teammate.

Apparently he was ok after the hit but they held him out for the rest of the game as a precaution. He practised today with the Wolves, but not sure if they'll put him in next game. Still you hate to see your players boarded like that. F***.

“When facism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”-Sinclair Lewis

A human being is a part of a whole, called by us _universe_, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."-Albert Einstein

I'm happy that he's alright, I guess he's building up a resilience to those injuries now.. With our D-core's luck he'll need it a lot..

A few words about Chis Tanev's performance thus far:

"Dished out two assists in his last two outings after being held off the scoresheet in his previous five contests ... Paces team defensemen and ranks second overall on the Wolves with 10 assists in 19 games this season ... Has already surpassed his 2010-11 point total of 9 (G, 8A) in 39 matchups with Manitoba ... All 10 of his points came in 13 games during December ... Has accrued a plus or even rating in 16 of his 19 tilts this season, which includes 11 of his last 12 games"

http://www.chicagowo...notes-for-jan-3

C. Tanev has been excellent for the Wolves. I hope he earns a roster spot with the Canucks next season.

Tanev's looking great!

It would be nice if he was a bit more willing to shoot. I know he isn't going to be the next Sami Salo, but he has less than one shot per game in the A and is still sitting on 0 goals.

Before anyone jumps on me about the fact Tanev isn't susposed to be a goal scorer, I know that, I am just saying, it would be great if he was a bit more confident to shoot the puck, especially if he is gonna play with Connauton, otherwise the defense will always know that Tanev will pass and K-Conn will shoot.

But it is certainly great to see that his development is going really well.

Tanev already has earned a roster spot. Only reason he's not up here is because MG wants him to have more ice time.

Unless we make a trade to solidify our right side on defense, I am thinking more and more that Tanev is going to be called up sooner rather than later if Salo continues to be injury prone. As of now, we cannot find a suitable replacement on our roster to fill Salo's spot when he is out.

Tanev will be up with us come playoff time.

I am perfectly happy with him developing his game as the #1 guy in Chicago playing 20+ minutes every night.

Imagine how much better he will be by the end of the year with an entire season in the AHL as a #1 guy playing in all situations. Tanev will be playing a big part for us in the playoff run this season.

We will likely call him up in the last 5-10 games at the latest to get him to gel with our players up here again.
