I just watched the score where Steve Kouleas talked with "Puck Daddy" to discuss the finals, the health of the NHL, and their picks for next years stanley cup winner. Puck Daddy chose the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Kouleas picked the Canucks. His reasoning, he claims that "The Chicago Blackhawks won't be as strong next year, so it should allow the Canucks to go farther".

So what do you guys think. Did we lose this year only because we lost to the best team? We will have the same core group next year, with the addition of some young talent. Maybe with Chicago becoming less dangerous next season, we can take over as the #1 team in the NHL? I think we have a great chance

Steve Kouleas always favours Vancouver for some reason. Hopefully hes right though.

Goddammit here come the expectations again....I hope the Nucks don't get swelled heads and take opponents lightly as they have been loath to do. Pundits who predict Stanley Cup winners in June need their screws tightened in the first place.

Wish it meant something but we've been chosen to win by so many analysts these past few seasons. I almost want us to go in as underdogs where no one expects us go far.

Hopefully Koulie is right. I think its a bit premature because we have no clue what we will look like once July comes and goes.

Have to agree with that.

Making predictions in June is insane, though he was doing so in fun.

MG should impose a media blackout for all the players.....at least the Sedins have been wise enough over the years not to even bother reading and believing sports media. :P

Couldn't agree with you I want us to be the underdogs that can't get past that dreadful 2nd rd hopefully next year's the year but these are just to much expectations and being in a Canadian Market makes it worse.

Some analysts compare us to the Sharks now in a way great 1st line, solid goaltending, and great regular season's but can't get it done in the playoffs hope we prove those idiots wrong.

We'll see. Once we make some fine adjustments to our bottom 6 and our D, I truly believe we'll be strong contenders for the cup.

Depends on what we do in the off-season, but I really think that we have a great shot at it this year if Gillis plays his cards right.

What he said is true, Hawks wont be going back to the Finals again next year, too much change in the lockerroom.

His theory that Van can succeed if Chicago is weaker is true.

Pre-mature.

But I suppose if you freeze everyone's roster so no body can improve. Make the Canucks 100% healthy. Then only destroy the Hawks roster due to cap space and pretend they'll start to suck again because of it.

Maybe.

Refering to your sig: If Kane ever came up to me and danced like that at the club, I would give him 20 cents to leave.

Kovalchuk will not play in the NHL this upcoming year.

A Blackhawk will be offered up to the Canucks.

The Blackhawks will not repeat.

Daniel Sedin will have a career year.

Seems like Kouleas amd Strachan (Al Strachan), always root for the Canucks.. Whether its 10 minute misconduct or just talking about the NHL, they always favour the Nucks... Let's just hope he's right...
