Patrick McNally jumped 44 spots between the mid-term and final Central Scouting rankings this spring.

This is a really good sign, he was obviously off the radar for a lot of scouts until they took another look at him and went "Holy Crap he looks like a cross between Bobby Orr and Jesus !"....or something like that.

Sounds great though, a big smart kid who can skate and run a powerplay.

he'll probably make it to the NHL in about 2/3 years

sorry to disappoint but not many 4th round picks make it to the NHL. and he'll be at harvard in 2/3 years which is why he slipped a bit in the draft.

let's not get carried away with these ridiculously high expectations on the poor kid

Connauton, Andersson, Sauve, Oberg, Tanev and now McNally.

I'm highest on Kevin Connauton and Peter Andersson but if even half of these young defensemen work out the Canucks will have done an awesome job drafting and will be sitting very pretty.

This really belongs in the Canucks prospects forum.

He probably would have been a late 2nd rounder or early 3rd if he was dedicated to college right now and not highschool and was not going to complete a degree in harvard. He is not going to be on the moose or nucks for about 5 years, 1 year in college, 4 in ncaa im guessing. good prospect though

He might be able to push 3 years for a degree if he gets enough transfer credit from AP courses and stays in summer school.
