Rollieo Del Fuego
AAAnd back to McNally... Having him in school for 4 years will give Connauton and Tanev a chance to be PP specialists after Salo retires. After 4 years in college Patrick could be ready to move right in to the lineup. Something like: Bieksa/Hammer Edler/ Tanev McNally/Conny We could have 4 fifty point plus D men and two 40 point D men. Might even be able to afford them all too with age discounts for Kevin and Dan who would be playing less minutes by then anyway. Sauve and Corrado might be the fourth pair. Optimistic? Yaaa.. but possible.
avelanch
McNally to play outdoor game inside Fenway park tomorrow vs. Union. game starts at 4:30 pacific, and it looks like there may be an audio feed for it. That would have been a nice one for them to show on TV or online, one would think.

avelanch
powerplay? yup, just like the vast majority of his (and Harvard in general's) points. oh, and as a reminder, harvard vs. yale will be shown on nbc sports (formerly versus) in the USA on Friday. Games starts at 4:30 pacific. I can't wait to watch.

avelanch
sweet, catch that after work as will I. don't forget, McNally is #8. I can't wait to see what his entire game looks like for myself (not just updates about his offensive/PP prowess, and 2nd/3rd hand info)

avelanch
Does McNally play the left or the right side? left handed shot, so I'm assuming the left side, espescially since his d-partner (biega) is a right handed shot.
Ilya Mikheyev
^ Makes me wonder if McNally is a dominant defenseman on the PP or if he is simply a product of Biega's success. I mean, Biega was the YOUNGEST player on the team last year and LEAD the team in points as a defenseman. I hope not though!
avelanch
^ Makes me wonder if McNally is a dominant defenseman on the PP or if he is simply a product of Biega's success. I mean, Biega was the YOUNGEST player on the team last year and LEAD the team in points as a defenseman. I hope not though! I don't think you have to worry about that, considering how McNally played the past couple years. I think they feed off of each other well and each of them raise each other's games. I mean, Biega may have led the team in points last year, but he only had 30 points in 34 games (which is REALLY low for a player who led a NCAA team in points). Now that he's playing with McNally he's up to 20 points in just 18 games (and McNally in up to 17 in 18 games). They are both on pace to usurp Beiega's numbers from last season, and have the same number of goals this season with 4 (and most of McNally's points have been primary assists from what I can remember). Plus Pat's shooting percentage is more than twice as good as Biega's (.182 vs .08) meaning he has a better shot. plus, i don't think they were on the same pairing until later into the season, but i'm not 100% on this, i'll have to look it up. avelanch
high praises from milbury in the pregame for mcnally; apparently harvard doesn't practice their entry for the pp, they just give it to mcnally and let him do his thing/improvise. very impressive, and encouraging for our future. the game is about to start soon, i can't wait. avelanch
man, mcnally is BIG, and strong to boot (yale guy tried to work it in front from behind and pat just pushed him out to the side boards.)
avelanch
mcnally has sme wheels too, just did an end to end rush during a line change, weaving around the yale players. im impressed, and it's just the first. we've already seen some good offensive play and defensive play too. i'm getting even more pumped for mcnally. avelanch
hmm biega and mcnally tend to switch sides a lot, half of their shifts are on their opposite sides, so i guess mcnally COULD play on the right side if needed. good to know.
