AAAnd back to McNally...

Having him in school for 4 years will give Connauton and Tanev a chance to be PP specialists after Salo retires. After 4 years in college Patrick could be ready to move right in to the lineup.

Something like:

Bieksa/Hammer

Edler/ Tanev

McNally/Conny

We could have 4 fifty point plus D men and two 40 point D men. Might even be able to afford them all too with age discounts for Kevin and Dan who would be playing less minutes by then anyway.

Sauve and Corrado might be the fourth pair.

Optimistic? Yaaa.. but possible.

powerplay?

yup, just like the vast majority of his (and Harvard in general's) points.

oh, and as a reminder, harvard vs. yale will be shown on nbc sports (formerly versus) in the USA on Friday. Games starts at 4:30 pacific. I can't wait to watch.

^ Makes me wonder if McNally is a dominant defenseman on the PP or if he is simply a product of Biega's success.

I mean, Biega was the YOUNGEST player on the team last year and LEAD the team in points as a defenseman.

I hope not though!

I don't think you have to worry about that, considering how McNally played the past couple years. I think they feed off of each other well and each of them raise each other's games. I mean, Biega may have led the team in points last year, but he only had 30 points in 34 games (which is REALLY low for a player who led a NCAA team in points). Now that he's playing with McNally he's up to 20 points in just 18 games (and McNally in up to 17 in 18 games). They are both on pace to usurp Beiega's numbers from last season, and have the same number of goals this season with 4 (and most of McNally's points have been primary assists from what I can remember). Plus Pat's shooting percentage is more than twice as good as Biega's (.182 vs .08) meaning he has a better shot.

plus, i don't think they were on the same pairing until later into the season, but i'm not 100% on this, i'll have to look it up.

high praises from milbury in the pregame for mcnally; apparently harvard doesn't practice their entry for the pp, they just give it to mcnally and let him do his thing/improvise. very impressive, and encouraging for our future. the game is about to start soon, i can't wait.

mcnally has sme wheels too, just did an end to end rush during a line change, weaving around the yale players. im impressed, and it's just the first. we've already seen some good offensive play and defensive play too. i'm getting even more pumped for mcnally.
