We will have to see how Bieksa / Raymond situations play out before a full A is given on the interim report card. MG has had a good summer so far though. Summary - we have added 2 healthy younger steady D and addressed the grit on our third line. The prospects are now a year older. Who steps up in camp is a huge question this year.
Demitra Gone - wow what a failure it was to add his no contact perimeter game to our team
Bernier Gone - finally MG gave up on his lack of production. I wonder how much time he has left in the NHL
Wellwood Gone - hopefully any day now - doubtful any NHL or KHL team would even want his inconsistent effort.
Hordy Gone - probably on waivers as he may not have any trade value
Bieksa - interesting to see what MG can get for Kevin - should have good value. A real character that will be missed. Should Juice stay or should Raymond Stay ? Or can MG work magic and find a way to keep Ray and JUice
Mitchell - probably will not be offered a contract. He should be able to sign somewhere but a huge risk obviously for any team. Class shutdown defender in his day. How about a Sundin and we see him as a Canuck in January -Feb ?
Raycroft - gone which should simplify our goalie situation. Ray was a great teamate and it kind of sucks to lose him but heh it had to happen.
Canucks sign Ballard and Hamhuis - 2 guys that can play big minutes and lots of games.
SOB and Rome signed - good depth signings as both are under good low budget contracts
Malholtra added - finally someone on the third line that will/can drive the net. Expensive but this is what the market is for quality guys with heart and skill.
Ryan walter Gone - ? not sure on this but i think it is good to mix up the coaching situation. Players get complacent and change in coaching can be good.
